The morning rays, brightened the room through the curtains. I turn around in Chase's arms and i watch his sleeping face with a faint smile. My smile faded when a thought had crossed my mind, James. I had to break up with him before anything else happens with Chase. James will understand right, I mean I don't love James... I love Chase. It's the right thing to do. I gently pick up Chase's arm which is around my waist and set it close to him, starting to get up. I feel his warm hand snaking back around my waist and pulling me back down,

"Don't go." he groaned sleepily, he plays with my hair and I giggle.

"We have to get ready for school." I blush and lean in closer to him, he kisses me gently on the lips and lets go. I throw some clothes on and brush my hair. I brush my teeth and walk out of the bedroom, grabbing my backpack.

"You should stay home." I bite my lip.

"I have to go. I actually need to pass highschool."

"Man I hate school."

"Who doesn't?" I laugh and we both get up from the couch.

"It's your people who came up with education."

"Touché"

"I'm not going to go to school today."

"How come?"

"I'm ultra tired and a demon who doesn't need education." I laugh and kiss his cheek.

"I'll see you later" I skipped out the door, happily. Best morning ever!

I couldn't help but feel awful about being so happy as I skipped into her class. James held a book in his hand, a slight smirk on his face. I knew he would get lots of confessions once I broke up with him. He was exceptional handsome with his bronze locks and piercing eyes that looked almost as golden as his hair. My body lingered for a moment before proceeding on, stopping at his desk. He looked up at me as if he expected me to be there. His smile was plastered in innocence and kindness so strong it almost looked fake.

"James, I- I'm sorry."

"What's wrong?", his smile fading.

"We can't.. We shouldn't date anymore."I look away from him.

"Is this about Chase?" he said almost immediately.

"... I love him." I say quietly.

"Do you- will you be with him now?" I nod reluctantly. " I- Is there anything else or can you go?", My head screamed for me to tell him about the other night but the words wouldn't come out.

"N-no.", The look on his face wasn't sad but disappointed and reluctant. He rose from his desk and stood in front of me. He leaned in.

"I hoped it wouldn't end this way.", he whispered into my ear, his breathe trickling on my neck.

"Did you-"

"Remember that this was your fault.", He walked away before I could say anything, leaving me to stare at his back. I sighed and sat at my seat, glad it was over.

"Chase, i'm home.", I kicked off my shoes and walked down the hall." Today was stressful so I deserve extra love.". I looked up and gasped stepping back.

"Of course, darling."

Glowing white bands tightened around Chase, wrapped around his arms, legs, waist and mouth. Pain was visible on his body, red burn marks scorching his skin beyond the strange rope. He screeched, the excruciating pain echoing in the muffled sounds. Maldonious stared at me, his eyes glowing as a smirk pulled at his cheeks.

"Maldonious! LET HIM GO!", I started toward him and he lifted his hand. An invisible hand pulled me back and tied my hands behind my back.

"I'm sorry, darling but Chase has done something awful.", He walked over to me and put his lips next to my ear. "Adultery.", He whispered. He yanked the purple necklace from my neck and threw it on the ground, crushing it under his heavy golden boots.

"But he didn't-", I stopped. " James..."

"Bingo."

"But it's only considered adultery if you are married to them!"

"Heaven has gotten stricter, remember?", He gestured at Chase, whose veins were popping out of his neck, glowing white.

"I told you this was all your fault.", Our eyes connected and my heart stopped for a moment. Those eyes. That hair.

"No it can't be....",

"I really didn't want it to be this way."

"Mal...you aren't...", tears formed in my eyes as I began to shake.

"Did you like kissing me? Playing with me while you loved Chase.", He moved closer to her. "The way his hands moved all over you, did you ever feel guilty? Feel wrong?". He stood in front of the mirror on the wall and my heart dropped as the reflection stared at me. It was him. Maldonious was James.

"You-..."

"I told you I would keep an eye on you. Maybe closer than you hoped."

"You never liked me."

"Oh but I did. I can prove it.", Mal's lips connected with mine, not closing his eyes.I wanted to push him away but I couldn't, so I bit down on his lip and he staggered back. He felt his lip and snapped his fingers. The bond on Chase's mouth released but the rest tightened. Her screamed out again, panting.

"STAY AWAY FROM HER!", Chase shouted, anger flaring in him.

"We are leaving anyway.", He turned back to me, "Don't play with people who aren't on your level.". With that, Jame- Maldonious and Chase vanished leaving me to sink to the floor as the bonds let me go. The tears came faster than ever.
