I began fidgeting with the hem of my shirt as we got farther away from school.
Okay, in all honesty, i have never skipped school before. Shocker! I've always been the good kid that always does her homework, study's for tests, never talks back to teachers, and gets straight A's. I will admit that when I started dating Blake my grades dropped. Not drastically, but i was getting more B's than A's. I started focusing more on my social life and trying to be the perfect high school girl because that's what Brooke made me believe was important. I've never gotten into actual trouble in school, so this was very nerve wracking. What was i even thinking? My mom is going to kill me!
"You need to chill." He said, interrupting my inner bable.
"Sorry, I don't normally skip." I said with attitude.
"Well, i've never been caught." He said smugly.
"But what if we do this time?"
"We won't."
"But-"
"Riley!"
I settled into my seat and tried to relax.
"Where are we going anyway?" I say slightly irritated.
"I don't know. You hungry?"
"We just had lunch."
"Correction. You had lunch."
"Right..... where do you go during lunch?"
"Sometimes i leave to get something off campus or i sit outside on my phone."
"Why?"
"Not a lot of people sit outside. It quieter."
"No, i mean don't you have friends?"
"All the guys here are douchebags." He said chuckling.
"Including yourself?" I ask cheerfully.
He rolled his eyes as we halted at a stop sign, looking both ways before moving again.
"What about you? Saw you wondering around by yourself. Don't you have friends?" He said mockingly.
"My former best friend has turned all her minions against me."
"So... no?" He asked jokingly.
I rolled my eyes and went back to staring out the window. My mood suddenly lightened as i saw an upcoming ice cream shop.
"Can we get ice cream?" I practically shrieked.
He slammed on the breaks due to my sudden loudness and then pulled off to the side.
"I thought you said you weren't hungry."
"I'm always hungry for ice cream."
I jump out of the car and run to the shop like a little girl on christmas morning.
"What can i get you, darling?" The lady at the counter asked.
I looked over the menu and found my favorite ice cream since my childhood and a smile appeared on my face.
"Can i have Cookie Dough in a cone, please?"
"Vanilla cone." Logan said from behind me.
She nodded and then headed into the back room.
"Crap!" I say as i feel around in my pockets.
"What?"
"I dont have my money with me." I sighed.
