IMPORTANT AUTHORS NOTE AT THE END!
*****
We had been driving for about forty five minutes in silence besides the music playing.
I had been watching the world pass by in a blur and the sky was becoming noticeably darker. Since it was getting later in the fall season, it got darker earlier. So, right now it was about 6:00 pm, but felt like 8:00 pm.
I hummed lightly to the music and turned slightly to look at Logan.
His hands rested on the wheel as he studied the road, blue eyes glancing different places.
His hair was slightly messy, but in a good way and his fingers tapped on the steering wheel to the beat.
He glanced in my direction and a smirk formed on his face, i quickly turned away, a blush creeping up my cheeks because i was staring.
"So, your not driving me out to the middle of nowhere to kill me are you?"
"If i was going to kill you, i wouldn't make it that obvious." He chuckled.
I rolled my eyes and let out a sigh.
"Oh, come on. Don't you trust me?"
"I trust you as much as i trust Pennywise the clown." I said, not looking at him.
"He's a pretty cool guy."
I turned my head to look at him, creasing my eyebrows.
"He lured children into the sewer and killed them." I stated bluntly.
"We all have our weird hobbies." He shrugged carelessly.
I chuckled slightly and looked out the window as we continued down the road.
My stomach growled loudly and i covered it with my hand as if it would muffle the noise.
"Have you eaten today?" He glanced at me.
"Yeah." I lied.
He shook his head disapprovingly and looked at me with concern.
I looked away not wanting to meet his eyes.
We pulled into a parking lot behind a small restaurant. I looked at him in disbelief and he rolled his eyes.
"What now?"
I looked down at what i was wearing. Sweatpants, a stained t-shirt, and mismatched socks.
He didn't exactly give me the option to change.
He realized what i was thinking about and reached in the back, grabbing a pair of light blue Nike shoes.
I gave him a questioning look and he set them on my lap.
"They're my moms."
I nodded and slid them in, surprise at the fact that they fit perfectly.
I glanced up to see him holding up his black sweatshirt.
"I'm not wearing your sweatshirt." I shook my head.
He shrugged setting it down on the council.
"Okay, stay in your shirt." He said as he got out of the car.
I glanced down at my shirt covered in stains that were so old i couldn't remember what they were.
I looked over at the sweatshirt and grabbed it, quickly sliding it over my head.
It was large on my petite body, but it felt snug and warm. It even smelt like him. The manly smell of old spice and something sweet like apples filled my senses.
