Izzy had called me into work about an hour later saying two girls didn't show up and i needed to come right away. I was slightly relieved that he called because it would give me something to do besides sit around sulking.
Logan drove me over, i gave him a quick thank you and hurried inside the bustling restaurant.
I rushed into the kitchen to grab my apron and ran straight into Izzy’s hard chest.
“Took you long enough.” He mumbled.
“Table's 3 and 4 have been waiting! Lets go people!” He yelled as he pushed past me.
I rolled my eyes and tied my apron around my waist. Grabbing my booklet and pen, i ran into the dining area to take my first table.
For the next couple hours i took people's orders, ignored Izzy’s comments, tried desperately not to drop any of the food, earned tips, but most importantly i forgot about everything. I was in full waitress mode and nothing could distract me.
That was until i seen a group of people that about made my heart stop. I was so stunned that i dropped someones water all over them.
“I'm so sorry!” I said as i ran and grabbed a rag to wipe up all of the water.
After cleaning up the mess i made and refilling the man's water, i ran over to Lauren as she came out of the kitchen.
“Lauren, can you take that table?” I pleaded.
“Sorry, i still need to deliver food to eight other tables.” She explained as she rushed past me.
I sighed and stared at the large booth they occupied.
“I don't pay you to stand around!” Izzy yelled from the kitchen.
I grunted and slowly made my way over to their booth.
Pray for me.
“How are you doing today?” I asked as politely as i could.
They all gave me a dirty look and remained silent.
“Can we have a different waitress?” Annabelle asked rudely.
They all snickered and i crossed my arms over my chest.
“If you could, i wouldn't be here.” I plastered a fake smile on my face.
She rolled her eyes and took out her phone.
“We already know what we want.”
I shifted my attention over to Brooke who was attached to Blake's arm like a leach.
He seemed slightly uncomfortable which made me smirk.
I opened up my booklet and copied down all the things they wanted. Some of them had ridiculous requests for their food.
“Dont screw it up.” She snickered.
I decided against responding considering I'd rather keep my job.
I sent their orders in and hurried to my next table which happened to be a group of guys my age.
“Hello, can i get you guys something to drink.”
“Oooh, you sure can.” He said as he leaned back in the booth and studied my figure.
He then leaned over and whispered something to the guys next to him. A look of amusement settled on their faces and they all looked back at me.
I shifted uncomfortably and cleared my throat.
“Can i get you guys anything?” I asked again.
