Zoey had parked a couple houses away due to so many cars taking up spaces. The streets were covered in happy teens rushing towards the house that oozed party.
Flashing lights showed through the windows and scattered onto the green lawn. We walked up to the booming house and I watched in awe as the house got bigger and bigger as we got closer. It was practically a mansion.
"Wow! Whose house did you say this was?" I asked.
"One of Carter's football buddies. His parents are away for the weekend."
I nodded as we walked inside the house, the base shaking the floorboards as we walked.
I glanced to my right to see Brooke grinding against Blake and I had to hold back a gag. She caught my eye and gave me a hard glare as she grabbed his face, forcing her tongue in his mouth while maintaining eye contact with me.
The best part was, I felt nothing. That stupid act did nothing to me and I couldn't care less what they do.
I rolled my eyes and followed Zoey through the crowds of people, pushing past drunk teens that didn't have a care in the world.
Finally, we made it to the kitchen where few people were and if they were present, it was to refill their empty cups. Zoey and I grabbed cups from the stack on the polished counter and began pouring beer from the keg into our red solo cups. I immediately tipped the cup back, letting the cold, bitter liquid into my mouth, invading my taste buds.
Once the cup was empty, I reached to pour another, but Zoey grabbed my hand to stop me.
"Slow down, tiger." She joked.
I rolled my eyes playfully and brushed her hand away, filling my cup once again.
We talked for a couple minutes, our eyes searching the crowds. I'd finished my cup once again and filled it for a third time, taking small sips.
"Hey, you guys made it!"
I turned to see Carter pushing through the crowd of people and stood by our side, his sweet cologne filling my senses.
"Yup." I said blandly as I took another drink of my beer.
"Don't mind her, she's in a mood." Zoey said, causing me to roll my eyes.
Carter chuckled and glanced around the hoards of people.
"Where's Logan?"
"He'll be here soon."
"Huh, I thought he would be stuck to your side." He motioned towards me.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked curious as to what he meant.
"Oh, nothing." He shrugged innocently.
I watched as him and Zoey shared a knowing look and then went back to their drinks.
"You guys are weird." I mumbled.
Gulping down the rest of my drink, I turned on my heel and walked towards the dance floor with them following behind me.
Suddenly, I felt someone grab my forearm forcefully and yank me backwards. I spun around and came face with Brooke.
"I'm sure Riley would love to." She said, my name rolling off her tongue like poison.
I glanced around at the small crowd with a confused expression. I felt her grab me tighter and then shove me forward towards the large table that everyone was gathered around. Watching and waiting for my next move.
I looked at the table set up with two rows of cups on each side, a large shirtless guy with shaggy red hair and green eyes stood on one side giving me a challenging look.
