Warlocks walked among other downworlders and shadowhunters, casting protection spells. The werewolves conversed with the vampires, all hidden beyond the dark, looming trees.
The shadowhunters traced useful runes on one another's skin.
Magnus walked towards the circle of shadowhunters, including Clary, Jace, Isabelle and Alec.
"Are you ready, biscuit?" He put a reassuring hand on her shoulder. He smiled.
"As ready as I'll ever be." She mumbled, hugging Jace.
He muttered inaudible words in her ears.

Werewolves and vampires scattered up the long oak trees, hiding beyond the leaves.
The warlocks hid behind trees, a glamour cast over them.
The shadowhunters stood behind trees, all watching intently as Clary made her way across the long, remote field.

Clary felt eyes watching her from behind the trees. They reassured her yet she still felt weary.

She stood in the centre, one hand behind her back. A hidden blade stashed in her boots and a glamoured seraph blade slung over her shoulder.
A figure crept from out the trees on the other side. Her eyes flickered on the creeping eyes behind him, all hidden behind tree trunks.
He wasn't alone.

Sebastian stalked his way across the field, a smug expression plastered on his face. The apprehension was killing them, his feet taking slow steps to add effect.

"Hello, little sister." He delicately took her hand and kissed it.
Clary felt sick from his actions; that was her brother. Flashbacks from the night in Venice flooded her mind.

"Sebastian..." she tried to remain calm, "I want to join you."
"How can I trust you? Why?"
"I'm your sister! I have realised what you said was true... this world- there is so much hate between the downworld and the clave. I want to be able to stop this, to be able to mend the broken trust between them. We can rule a perfect world."

Sebastian flashed a smile, offering out his hand, "Then follow me."

Clary took his hand before walking away. She snatched the blade from her boot discreetly and threw it in Sebastian's back.
He gasped, his face full of shock and pain.
Suddenly, his face crumpled, anger flashing past his eyes.
Clary yelped in pain when Sebastian grabbed her arm.
"What have you done?" He spat.

Jace cried out Clary's name as he saw Sebastian's hand move to his weapons belt.
Alec reacted, pulling out an arrow and slinging it across the string. They watched as the arrow soared through the sky before ripping through Sebastian's hand.
Clary ran back, Sebastian crying in pain as he lay on the ground.

"Did you see that?" Magnus cheered, "That's my boyfriend!"

Alec tried to remain silent, holding a nonchalant expression yet he couldn't wipe away the proud smirk from his lips.
"I love you, Magnus." Alec looked at Magnus.

Magnus never got the chance to reply. A loud shriek came from the other side of the forest.

The demons flew out from the trees, some scampered across the floor. The loud cries of the demons hurt their ears.
Werewolves pounded across the field, their long paws hitting the coming demons. Vampires jumped from the trees and ran across the field, digging their teeth into the demons neck.
The few warlocks collected ran across, the only illumination on the field; the blues and red fireballs firing across the field.
Shadowhunters ran at the demons, plunging the seraph blades down the demons scaly skin.
Alec shot an arrow at a demon, the arrow splitting through the neck, black blood oozing out.
A loud shriek came from behind him. Alec turned, though it wasn't quick enough. He watched the flying demon soar down from the sky.
Magnus, standing a few feet away, saw the demon. He readied a flame of blue sparks in his hand. Just as he was about to throw it, Jace's angelic body jumped, landing above the demon. He plunged his sword through its skin, dragging it down its spine.
The demon fell to the ground, Jace landing swiftly above it. Alec rolled out of the way, managing to escape the demons dead body.
"I'm okay." Alec smiled at Magnus, as though he read his thoughts.
Magnus smiled before returning to fighting the demons.
