Zeus' Pov

It's been a couple of days here and I've only texted my family a few times on occasion. I've been working for Aamir and Abraham nonstop. I've been cleaning, cooking, & taking care of their businesses with Adam. I want to go home but I know I can't.

I shouldn't have ran off during my birthday like a little bitch. I should've stayed. I miss my dad. I miss being younger and falling asleep on his chest. I miss playing on the beach. I miss Charleston. I miss Aj and Amber annoying me. I miss Adonis babying me.

I sigh. Adam pats my back.

"I know how you feel," he says. "But right now I have to introduce you to the girls."

"Girls? What girls?"

"The rest of the girls that stay here."

I get up and follow him to their room.

"Hello," Maya says with a smile.

"Hi," I return the smile.

"Hi," Adam says dryly. "Introduce us."

"Oh. This is Neveah, Cashmere, and Bambi."

"Hey," Neveah says. She's turns out to be Cape Verdean with light skin and light brown eyes. She's very skinny.

"Hello," Cashmere says. She's Vietnamese.

"Hi," Bambi says. She's Trinidadian and also has roots in Kenya. She has smooth brown skin and a gorgeous smile. She's so attractive.

"Ladies, this is Zeus," Maya says.

I smile brightly. These women are so beautiful. "How did you guys get here?"

They look at each other. They whisper among themselves until Bambi spoke up in her thick accent. "Aamir brought us here to give us away , so to speak."

"Give you away?" I step closer and sit on her bed.

She moves to her knees on her bed. "Well, Maya is to marry Adam. Neveah to Abraham. Cashmere to Aamir. I'm just ... Bambi." She laughs. I laugh with her.

"So you're pretty much single?" I ask.

"Zeus!" Adam says.

"Oh, it's alright. Yes I am. I just help out and prepare them for marriage, " Bambi says.

"And how would you know about marriage if you're single?" I ask with a smile.

She blushes instead of getting mad. Adam rolls his eyes. Maya stares. The other women look at each other.

"Maybe we talk about it later," she says.

"Adam! Get your pet and get down here!" Abraham yells up the stairs.

Adam sighs. "Come on, Zeus."

Maya tries to kiss his cheek but he swerves her. Bambi puts her hands on my shoulder. "Meet me on the balcony tonight, " she whispers in my ear.

"Come on!" Adam says.

I nod to Bambi and follow him out the door.

After dinner, I go to our room to change into a white T-shirt, black basketball shorts, and white long socks. I make sure I smell decent and throw on a silver chain. It was something I borrowed from Adam.

"Where are you going? " Adam says from his bed.

"Uh...nowhere special, " I say and take note of my newly forming stubble. I should have a beard soon.

"Mhmm."

I pop my shirt. "How do I look?"

Adam glances me over and returns to his book. "If you're going nowhere special, what does it matter?"

I roll my eyes. "Okay, I'm meeting with Bambi."

He puts down his book. "Bambi?"

"Yeah, is that a problem?"

He grabs his book again. "Fine. Be careful my brothers don't see you." He mumbles something else.

I nod and creep off to the balcony.

I find Bambi there in all her beauty as the moonlight hits her face. I soak in her beauty and curves. Jayla who?

"Hi," she giggles.

"Hey," I try to say in my most deep , Christian Bale voice. I put my hand on the rail , it slides too far , and I fall face down.

Bambi sits over me. I look up at her, smiling. She smiles and in her mock deep voice says, "Is the Batman okay? "

"Yeah. "

I sit up on the ground while she sits besides me. I put my arm around her, unsure. I shift slightly.  She let's me know it's okay.

"So, about earlier, " I say.

"I teach them to be wives because I was in an arranged marriage at one point in Kenya. I was born in Trinidad, spent a few years in Tobago, then spent my teen years in Kenya. I got married at 14 and that ended when I was 19 . Aamir found me on a trip to recruit girls and I've been here ever since. "

"How old are you?"

"I'm 23. 24 in 2 days."

"I'm 18. Why did you go to Kenya?"

"My father is Kenyan. My mother is half Trini and half Bajan. They met in the islands and when I was older, I was arranged to marry my father's best friend's son. He ended up divorcing me."

I watch her tear up a bit and change topics. "Do you like it here? "

"At times ... Do you?"

"Other than the whole three months to live thing ... I find things worth appreciating. "

She smiles. "Have a girl back in America?"

"I did but ... She ain't feel the same. "

"I don't believe that, " she beamed. "As handsome as you are? You'd make a good husband. You seem sweet."

"Thanks, but she wasn't in to me. Now, my dad and his wife, that's what I want. He loves her in spite of her flaws. They've been together since she was like 18," I pause. "She accepted me."

Bambi puts her hand on my thigh. "You don't have to tell me everything right now. You don't have to tell me at all."

"Why not?" I look at her and see gentleness and understanding. "I have nothing but time."

She smiled at me and decided to tell her everything in my life that's happened this far, my dreams, my fears, my vices, everything. This must be how dad felt when he met Adonis.

Maybe better.

Author's Note : I'm sorry about the slow updates , but I brought 2 chapters , yay! Lol, with becoming a senior and doing marching band, things have been very hectic lately.
