"You can't move!!" Rayne said as we sat at our favorite restaurant.

"You can visit," I tried to make things better, but failed.

"Still," she said looking at me.

"And why not? It gets me out of this town," I said looking at her. I'm not going to lie she was probably the best person in this town. She was also the only other outcast in the school. She moved here our Junior year from Cali so she could take care of her grandmother although in reality it was a way to get away from her parents.

"Because I will be all alone!" she exclaimed again not caring what the people close enough thought. Neither of us really did since everyone hated us for the most part.

"Oh please you will not," I said as our food came and we thanked our waiter.

"Yes I will!," she said taking a bite of her food.

"You will not," I argued laughing. "Besides in 3 months you will be off back in Cali going to college," I took my first bite.

"Yea alone," She looked up at me.

"Please you are one of the most sociable person I know, plus really easy to get along with. You will make friends in a snap, plus you have friends still in Cali you can hang with," I laughed at her some more. This town has really gotten to her, back in her old high school she was one of the most popular person there, then she came here to the town that hates new comers. It didn't help that she made friends with me soon after getting here.

"Well I guess on the upside, you won't have the chance of running into your dad," she said before biting her lip and looking up at me. "Sorry," she apologized she is the only one in town who has been cautious of the subject of my father since he left, I wish the rest of the town would take a lesson from her in tact.

"It's fine, and yea thats a very good thing," I tried to smile but failed as I looked down at my plate suddenly not feeling to hungry.

"So what do you want to do after this?"  Rayne asked trying to get off the still very touchy subject.

"We could go shopping?" I suggested shrugging my shoulders trying to get the memories of that day out of my head.

"Right," she laughed. "Like you need more shit."

"Why does everyone think I have a lot of shit?" I asked trying not to laugh.

"Hun, I love you but have you seen your room? How many boxes did it take to pack up?" she asked and I looked away.

"I don't know," i said looking back at her. "20 maybe," I said softly.

"Oh I'm sure it was more than that," she laughed again.

"Fine shopping is a no, but how bout coffee. I need something to keep me up till the flight," I rolled my eyes.

"Sounds like a plan, but tell me one thing. What the hell was wrong with your mother when she booked your flight?" she asked.

"Well I've been asking myself that since she told me, I mean 2 in the morning was she crazy?" I asked before taking a bite of my meal.

"Isn't she always crazy?" She laughed.

"Well that's the truth, I don't know I guess its something to do with the time zones, it won't be till 6 at night when we get there," I said stopping my fork midway to my mouth.

"It's a 14 hour flight?" She asked and I looked at her trying not to laugh.

"That's a 16 hour difference," I smiled at her.

"Right," she looked around trying not to laugh herself.

"It's a 10 hour flight then the 6 hour time difference."

"I know I just gotta keep you on your toes," she smiled before we both started cracking up.

I slowly walked up to the front door after hugging Rayne goodbye for the last time before our long distance separated us. As I got on the front porch I took a long breath before pushing the door open to reveal the barren house. When I finally got to my room I took a look around. The once lavender walls now a new shade of light tan, the smell of fresh paint still in the air. Wooden floors shown where colorful rugs used to lay. The only belongings left in the room were the Queen sized bed, night tables and a desk. All of which staying with the house. As well as a few boxes that still needed to be taken downstairs to join the others. I'm not going to lie I might hate this town, but this has always been a beautiful house. Not quiet a home but still.

"Ping," the glass on my window rattled. "Ping," it happened again. I peered out the window as I walked towards it. I looked down at a familiar mop of brown hair a small smile coming to my face as well as confusion.

"What are you doing here?" I whisper yelled.

"I came to see you," he said looking up at me.

"Well no shit Sherlock, I'll be right down," I closed my window and pulled my over sized sweater around my body.

"I'm going to catch some sleep before we head out if your awake will you get me up at midnight?" Mom asked as we passed each other on the stairs.

"Yea I will," I smiled at her trying to act normal.
