A/N: Sorry it has taken me so long to post!!!! I tried to make this chapter long since it has been a while since I last posted, but I don't really think it's that long. Hope you enjoy and hopefully there will be a new chapter tomorrow as well :)

"Sweetie, wake up," mom shook my shoulder lightly.

"Yea," I shot up then rubbed my face.

"Get your seat belt on were about to land," she said trying not to laugh.

"Shut it," I said whipping the little things from the corner of my eyes.

My mom kept me awake most of the flight talking about Mark and my dad and everything else that was on her mind. I literally fell asleep on her. But from her ramblings I have learned a few things, some things I had been questioning and some things I never wanted to know.

For instance Mark seems like a really great guy for her. He is around her age but a few years older. Him and his ex just divorced last year and he has 5 children, 1 boy and 4 girls. All of the girls are younger than me but the boy is older. I also learned that the wedding won't happen for a while, since they both recently divorced they want to make sure things will work out with them before they get into anything like that.

"Mom chill out," I said to my excited mother as we walked out the gate and into the airport. She was so excited to see him.

"I know but I can't help it, I haven't seen him in a month," she said acting like a teenager on the first day of school who wasn't allowed to see her boyfriend all summer.

"Olivia," we heard a voice shout as we got to baggage claim. I stood there watching as my mom ran up to the man who looked so much different than my Father.

They were polar opposites actually. My dad towered over her a good 6 inches, where as Mark was maybe an inch taller. Glasses covered his eyes while my Dad had perfect 20/20 vision.

I compared the two in my head watching them grasp each other an begin talking. That was until their lips met causing my eyes to roll. Shaking my head I threw my bag and purse over my shoulder and picked my my mother's bags that she had dropped the run to Mark.

I looked him over as I walked towards the happy couple. He had a very different style than my Dad. Where he was rather relaxed, t-shirt and jeans kind of guy, Mark seems to be very dressy a sweater with a collared shirt underneath, on another note his glasses were very fashionable.

"Ah you must be Emma," he smiled at me as I aproached them.

"Hi," I smiled at him.

"I've heard many, many wonderful things about you," he reached out his hand. I looked down at it then at my own hands. After a few awkward seconds I dropped the bags and reached out my hand to grip his.

"I'm glad they were good," I laughed.

"Is there anything bad  should know about?" he asked looking between my mother and me.

"No," I said quickly smiling at him.

"Right, well we should get you women home. I'm sure you are tired after your long trip," he reached down and grabbed two of the bags I had just dropped, how gentlemen-y of him.

I looked at my mom surprised as we both reathed down and grabbed one bag each.

* * *

"Well here you go," Mark said opening up the door to my new room.

"Thank you," I smiled at him as I walked past him with my bags and set them down on the bed in the middle of the room.

"I'll let you get settled," he started to shut the door. "If you need anything, I will be downstairs with your mother," he said before closing the door completely and I could hear his foot steps move slowly back the way we had just come.

Sighing, I sat on the very soft bed. This room has to be at least double the size of my old one. Well I guess if you listen to my friends that would be a good thing with all the shit I have, which I would still proclaim that accusation. The walls are a light shade of green, I could work with that. They were matching with a white shaggy carpeting. The room also had a huge walk-in closet as well as a wooden dresser across from the bed and two matching bed side tables. But without a doubt my favorite part of the room would have to be the window seat.

I slowly walked back to my door after examining my room, so I could use the restroom. As I opened my door I heard giggling, seriously my mother was giggling? Okay I need to get out of here and give them some time to do whatever the hell they want to do.

After finishing my business I exchanged my seats and t-shirt for a pair of skinny's and a newer, less wrinkled tee.

"Hey, I'm going to go roam,"  I called out once I got to the bottom of the stairs to see them cuddled up together on the couch.

"Alright have fun sweetie," Mom called out to me, although she was very used to me going off on my own.

"Wait where are you going?" Mark asked looking over at me.

"Just going out for a walk, maybe stop and get some coffee," I shrugged my shoulders.

"Alright," he said reluctantly after looking at my mom. "But be safe do you have your phone and wallet?" he asked and I will admit I was touched that he was already acting fatherly to me.

"I got everything. Don't worry I'll be fine I swear," I said holding up my hot pink zebra print wallet that had my phone and iPod zipped in it.

"Okay, but be back before it gets too late," he said looking worried.

"Do you want us to save some dinner for you?" Mom asked turning back around to look at me.

"I'll be good I can get something while I'm out," I said before walking out the door leaving them alone. I stopped to shake, literally shake, the thought of the two of them together out of my brain.

I pulled out my iPod and blasted Remind Me I'm Alive by Ivoryline and let Jeremy Gray's voice flow through my ears. Too soon into the song the music stopped signaling that I had forgotten to charge it.

"Of course," I said to myself placing it back in my wallet and pulled out my phone instead. I had 17 text messages, 17!! All of which were from Lizzie and Rayne, although there was a solo message from Bryan.

I read through all the random and curious text's while walking back the way we drove to the house to a shopping center I remember seeing. I had responded to all of them as I finally approached the stores.

Thank goodness Starbucks has taken over the world, I though as I walked into the relatively empty store.

"Hello," the lady behind the counter smiled at me.

"Hi," I smiled back before looking in the glass container.

"What can I get for you today?" She asked still smiling, I praise these people that work jobs like these. I could not smile all the time at people.

"Yes I would like a Tazo iced chai tea please and a..." I drew out my ah. "A tarragon chicken salad sandwich with a slice of pumpkin bread," I smiled at her.

"Thank you," I said afer paying and getting my stuff. I walked back out the door pushing it open with my backside and sat down at one of the tables on the patio.

As I sat eating I people watched, my favorite hobby. So far no one has singled me out and accused me of being from somewhere else. As far as they knew I was from here, well until they hear me speak, but they didn't know it first off like in Dixie and to those who I've talked too they didn't look at me weird or ignore me. I'm normal here, not a loner or an outcast and it feels damn good.

I stayed there until I was done with my drink texting the three dorks who were so conserned as to how everything was going.
