A/N: Sorry I've been a jerk lately and majorly procrastinating!! I tried to make this one really long to try to make up for it. Updates will be coming soon!
"How late were you out?" Mom slammed my door open, my arms flailing at my very startling awakening.
"I don't know," I rubbed my eyes throwing the blanket back over my head.
"How late were you out?" she asked again as she tapped her foot making a muted thudding noise.
"I don't know one or something," I moved the blanket just under my chin.
"One? In the morning?" she asked crossing her arms.
"Since when do you care how late I stay out?" I seem to remember plenty of late nights off with Rayne and Bryan that she never minded.
"That was in a small town. Now you are in a new and huge town," my arms flew again but this time to my sides pulling the blankets down in the movement.
"What were not really in London, it's like a suburb of London and you know nothing happens in the burbs. Besides this is England and well..." I paused pushing myself up to where my back was resting against the head board. "Well they aren't really threatening. It's those accents they are too charming," but she just stared down at me.
"Where were you?" she asked her face stern and almost angry.
"Fine there's a park a few blocks away I was just sitting there," I don't know why she needs to know. I've always liked to have somewhere to go where she couldn't find me.
"And before that?"
"I don't know I went to Starbucks and grabbed some food, then went to a cool music store, but other than that I just walked around roaming my new home," I pulled my knees into my chest.
"Yes, I saw those CD's. You know I don't like that music," she sat next to me.
"I know that's why you don't have to listen to it," I smirked at her. She always wished I has Lizzie's music taste, which was more country where as mine was more...well I don't even know the name for mine actually.
"I just want you to be safe," her cold hand passed over my cheek making the hairs stand up on my back.
"I know and I will be," I smiled at her as annoying as she sometimes can be she is still my mom and loves me and that's all I can ask for.
"Get up," she said cheerfully standing and clapping her hands together.
"It's only," I stretched grabbing my phone from the other side of the bed. "Noon," I finished after looking at the time.
"Yea and we are meeting Mark's children at 3," she took a deep breath patting my knee before she started walking over to the door.
"3? How are you doing with that?" I knew she was terrified to meet them it was one of our airplane topics.
"Great," she said looking at me trying to act calm, but I could see the worry in her eyes. "Now get ready," she said turning around to leave me alone.
"Mom," I called out to her making her stop and turn back towards me. "You are going to do fine," I tried to reassure her.
"Thanks," she said lightly smiling at me and nodded her head before she finished her way out the door.
Slowly I got up and out of bed and went to my bags. What does one wear to meet your new siblings?
After the very long and hard decision I finally picked to wear a pair of skinny's and a band tee from last year's Warped Tour. Now its time to was up, but I need some tuneage first so I can sing to my hearts desire without totally humiliating myself. Who to choose though?
'Peirce the Veil or You Me at Six?' I messaged Lizzie, since she would be the only one awake, before throwing my phone on the bed and getting everything ready to take my shower.
Ten minutes later and I was ready. I get some towels from the hall closet and my hair/body care supplies from my baggage. Picking up the two CD's I studied the covers still not sure who to pick. Soon enough thankfully my phone buzzed.
Plopping down on the bed I grabbed my phone.
'Um....Tim McGraw,' it read making me laugh.
'Peirce the Veil it is...btw how is it I moved to the south and not u?' I messaged her back.
After an hour of letting the hot water run over my joints releasing my knots and at least some of my stress, as well as some dancing, singing and whisper screaming. I stepped out of the warm release and into the frigid air. Quickly I pulled the towel around me shivering as I rubbed my arms.
'Okay im seriously freaking out!!!' I texted Rayne before I flopped down on my bed still wrapped in the towel, my mind racing too much to change. As soon as my body cooled I realized what was about to happen.
'Why??' she texted back.
'Cause what if they hate me...' I started typing before my phone began to ring 'Sorry I'm Not Perfect' by Miley Cyrus from her SNL show, and no we don't really like her but we did have to give her respect after that performance.
"What if they hate me? I mean I have no idea how they are going to act or what they are going to think of me. Hell I would hate me if I were them!" I answered without giving a proper hello.
"They won't hate you Em, why do you think they would?" I could hear things being shuffled around in the back ground.
"Because I don't know maybe they will think I'm like replacing them or something. Or what if they just hate me all together because of my mom," the rustling got louder. "What the hell is going on there?" I asked very curious.
"They won't hate you and even if they do you can win them over I'm one-hundred percent positive and nothing is going on Bryan is over here and were going threw some of the stuff you and your mom left here for the garage sale," it felt weird that they were hanging out without me. It actually made me realize just how alone I was over here.
"Oh," I sat back up and looked down at my feet.
"Oh trust me it isn't fun at all, he's a total loser," she said with a straight voice, if that makes sense.
"No I'm glad you two are hanging out it's just....I just wish I was there!" I exclaimed making her laugh a little. "Tell Bryan he still has to pay full price by the way," I laughed and she did as well.
"Tell her to shut it, I need stuff for my dorm," I heard he yell.
"Can he hear me?" I asked as Rayne just kept laughing.
"Yes of course I can, the girl is deaf when it comes to two things. Music and her cell phone volume...and teachers, okay so three things," he responded before Rayne could.
"Shut up," Rayne said and I could hear something fall on the ground then they both started laughing.
"Well I better get going and let you two rip me off while I get ready to meet them," I pouted.
"Okay call me or text me if you need too alright although I'm sure nothing is going to go wrong," she said confidently.
"I hope you're right," I tried to smile.
"Good luck," Bryan's voice came threw the phone.
"That comes from both of us," Rayne spoke up.
"Thanks I'll call you later," I said hanging up the phone dragging myself up and over to the cd player turning it up to release my nerves.
An hour of dancing, singing and slowly getting ready I looked into the mirror at my reflextion. I guess this will half to do. The CD ended just in time for the door bell to ring.
"Shit," I said lightly speed walking out my door running my fingers through my hair. Walking down the stairs I scratched my fingers against my scalp trying to dry my hair just a little bit more. Before I knew it I was at the bottom of the stairs and colliding with someone else.
