The sun beat through the door as I tried to sneak into the house at 7 in the morning. My head pounding from all the shots last night, I should know never to drink Vodka again. Apparently I never learned that lesson last time. Slowly I shut the door trying not to wake my mom or Mark, I know damn well it will be hell if they wake up. I tip toed up the stairs.

"And where do you think you're going young lady?" Mark's voice boomed as I stopped in my tracks.

"No where," I smiled as big as I could towards them. "Good morning," I walked towards them at the kitchen table.

"Not a good morning," my mom snipped at me.

"Where were you?" Mark asked trying to be the calm one.

"I stayed the night at a friends," I looked between them.

"Well we got a very interesting call last night," Mark crossed his arms. "Louis called me to ask if you had made it home alright. He told us that you came over intoxicated."

"And then we don't even get a call telling us where you are or if you're alright," my mother exclaimed. "I was up all night worrying about you."

"She's home now why don't you go upstairs and get some rest darling," Mark rubbed my mother's shoulder.

"I have to..."

"I can handle it. Go get some sleep," Mark interrupted her. She just nodded and headed towards the stairs.

"Thanks she can stress so much about things," I sat down at the table across from where she just was.

"Don't think your off the hook for this," he took her spot. "So tell me what all happened last night?" He folded his hands together.

"I swear it was all good," I help out my hands in defense. "I did go to Louis' like you had wanted and I tried to talk then when that didn't work I might have gone to have a few drinks. Which was totally legal," My hands went up again. "I am 18. Once I got all my liquid stupid in me I might have gone to Louis, because he might have ticked me off a lot earlier so we yelled at each other and are meeting up sometime to talk in normal range and sober conditions."

"And where did you stay?" he rubbed his forehead.

"Niall's," I looked up at him waiting for an explosion, but he just sat there.

"Did he try anything?" he looked up at me concerned.

"He was a perfect gentleman," I smiled and looked down at my crossed arms that were laying on the table.

"Good," Mark nodded before he got up and started walking away.

"Mark?" I looked back at him stopped in the entry way with total intent to ask him why he didn't tell me about Louis and Niall. "Thanks for not getting mad at me," I can ask him about that later.

"Don't thank me yet, you still have to deal with your mother," he chuckled before he disappeared behind the wall.

I tapped nervously against the table and my cup, as well as the bench. Pretty much on anything I could get my hands on as I sat in Starbucks. My head jerking towards the door every time the bell rang on the door. Louis was only a few minutes late, but the wait is killing me. Today is going to be the first day that we are actually going to talk like civilized people.
