The moon was covered by the dark clouds in the sky. The only thing that dimly shone was the stars in the sky. The smell of blood was in the night air, as the suffering elderly man struggled to breathe. I only twisted my knife deeper into where his heart should be.

"Stop struggling god dammit.." I whispered menacingly. This only resulted in the man screaming louder, even though his voice was already raw. The blood spattered all over the light grey hoodie I was wearing. His screaming died down when I started to slice him in half. Good, that meant he was losing his grip.

"Good.. just accept your fate.. The last thing I need is the police here.. Fuckers.." I grinned as there was complete silence. I quickly stood back up, grabbing what remained of the man who was now mangled with organs spilling on the ground. Good thing a lake was nearby, it looked pretty deep, so if any of the police arrive here, they won't find the evidence of the body. I threw the dead body into the lake and called it a night.

"Coming from your constant groaning, I can tell you haven't slept.." I only groaned louder at Eric's statement, which was painfully true.

"Well I can't help that I can't sleep at night.. You know how exhausting college work can be.." I lied right on the spot. He just turned away, shaking his head.

"What?"

"Its just that.. You shouldn't be working on stuff at like midnight. Its not healthy.."

"Since when did you care about my work and health?" I asked, releasing a loud yawn.

"Since we met.. idiot.. You know I care about everyone's health in our group right?"

"Yes.. I am aware.. you keep telling me.. It gets kinda of annoying.." I looked away as he smirked at me. God sometimes he can be a pain in the ass.. But friends are friends I guess.

"Well.. I gotta go. Try not to kill someone I guess."

"Can't keep my promise on that one."

We both laughed awkwardly and walked away. Sometimes I think he stalks me at night, hearing every single noise I make. God I hope not, it would be a fucking nightmare. I shoved my hands in my hoodie pockets and shrugged it off. I decided to walk home this time, mostly because my car needs a new engine. I looked up to the sky and the sun was setting, good.

10 minutes had passed and I was almost home, I whistled to an old song I listened to when I was little, those were the days.. when I wasn't insane. Painful memories flashed in my mind. I stopped walking and held my head.

"No not now.." I whispered. I gazed around the small neighborhood to see if anyone was watching. No one in sight. I pulled out my knife, feeling the tip of the blade. Dull, I thought. I took out a medium-sized piece of metal and started scraping the knife against it. I made a grunting noise from the loud screeching of the metal when the knife slid across.

"What are you doing?" I almost jumped out of my skin when a familiar voice had appeared behind me.

I quickly hid the metal and the knife in my hoodie pockets. Thank the lord that he was blind as a bat, literally. And as much as it sounds harsh - its true.

"Just taking a stroll through the neighborhood. Kinda stressed from today." Hopefully he would believe that. Probably not.

Eric made a disapproving noise and crossed his arms. "Uh huh, whatever you say."
