Eric's POV

It was a stressful Friday, and Fridays weren't
supposed to be stressful. Today I experienced some of the teachers yelling at one of the kids that always got into trouble. We got extra homework because we didn't stay quiet all day and everyone kept swearing at each other, and I almost had a breakdown because a soccer ball hit me in the face.

I walked out of the school building, exhaling a sigh. I was lucky that it was a Friday, otherwise it meant more stressful work.

As I was walking I accidentally bumped into someone. I tried to keep my self up but I failed, falling butt first on the ground. All I heard was a groan from what I assume that was from a male.

"Sorry." I said, trying my best to not sound annoyed. He really didn't say anything back. I didn't hear footsteps walk away from me so I assume he's staring at me.

"Hey.. um are you alrig-"

"Yes I'm fine.." He cut me off, walking away. That was kinda rude, but not all people are happy and have exciting lives. That's the kind of person I am, in a way. But that doesn't mean I'll let other people be that way too.

"People who say they are fine really aren't. And you may be a person i haven't even met but.. do you wanna talk about it?" I asked.

He just scoffed and clasped my shoulder, making me flinch in the process. "That's nice of you but no." He said firmly.

"Oh okay then. Do you want to talk later?" I said out of blue.

"Sure whatever.."

"I'm Eric by the way." I held out my hand, assuming I held it out in his direction.

"Tobias.. Just call me Tobi for short." He shook my hand before taking off walking. Its really not the strangest interaction I've had to be honest, there's been worse. Let's just keep that a secret for now.

I sprinted away from him as soon as I heard his faded footsteps. Hopefully we'll meet again after the weekend or something.

Nothing really interesting happens on Wednesday, well, except gym. I was just sitting on the bleachers, listening to an audio book on my phone. Even though I had both my ear buds in I could still hear the laughter of the kids and basketballs bouncing around on the ground. Just your casual school day I guess.

That's when I heard it. A loud blood-curdling scream broke out through the hallway. It sounded like a girly-like scream. I quickly took off my ear buds and got up from the bleachers. The sounds of laughter turned into words of worry and fear.

I was the first one to sprint to where the sound was coming from. I knew my way around this school, so I didn't bump into any walls or anything.

The scream faded and turned into loud crying. I tried to sprint faster but I was running out of breath.

"Hello?!" I called. "Anyone here?!"

No answer.

"Are you okay?!"

"I-In..t-the art s-studio..!" I heard the girl's faint answer and sprinted to where the art room was.

The doors were always unlocked when we were in gym. I have no idea why but I was lucky I could get in.

Fortunately, I found the girl. Unfortunately, the girl was dead. I knew this because a puddle surrounded her, which I assumed was blood. I crouched down to feel where she got injured. It felt like her lower body got completely cut in half, organs were spilling, her heart was ripped out of her chest, and her ribs were exposed.
