Leslie's POV 5600+ words

(This chapter is set about a year back to when Barron and Leslie first meet.)

The rain started to trickle gently. The puddles from the rain the day before began to ripple from the small raindrops. I forgot to bring a coat or an umbrella with me, so I was stuck sprinting for the bus stop.

The rain came down harder as I ran faster. It was just another few meters and I would be there. Depending on how long it took for the bus to get there, I would be out of the rain in no time.

I finally got there and only had to wait around 3 minutes for the bus to get there. But I guess the universe wanted me to suffer because there were no empty seats left and I was soaking wet. My only choice was to find a seat with one person in it and ask if I could sit with them. Easy, right? Nope. Being shy causes you to not want to talk to anyone ever.

I sighed and looked for a seat with a person that seemed nice. In the town I live in, it wasn't easy to tell. Theres's all types of people like wizards, werewolves, half animals, vampires, and other crazy things. Humans like me also live here, but they just find it normal to see strange creatures like those.

I walked to almost the back and saw a guy maybe a year or two older than me. He was a werewolf, definitely. He had black hair with a fading cyan dye in it. His black and white ears were perked up in interest as he read something on his laptop. I couldn't see his tail, but it was probably tucked away on the other side of his masculine figure.

"H-hi..um...is this s-seat taken? There's uh no other o-open seats." I stuttered.

He looked up from his laptop. "No, you can sit. It's alright." He calmly smiled, one of his fangs poking out of the side of his lip.

"T-thank you." I stumbled a little, but managed to sit next to him without falling.

"No problem. I'm Barron by the way." He had a deep voice, but he spoke casually.

"I-I'm Leslie. Nice to meet you. Also sorry about the wetness, I got caught in the rain." I rubbed the back of my neck nervously.

"No worries, I've been in your position before, too. Rain can suck sometimes." He chuckled a little.

"H-heh yeah. You don't have to talk to me by the way. You can continue whatever you were doing on your laptop." I said awkwardly.

"It's okay; it's not anything important. I don't mind talking to you, anyway. You seem interesting." He closed his laptop and put it in a small dark blue backpack next to him.

"Me? Interesting? I don't think so. But if you wanna talk I don't have anything better to do since my phone died." I laughed lightly.

"I don't believe that, but ok. Also, are you cold? You look like you're shaking." He asked, slightly concerned.

"A little. I can survive, though. It's not the first time I've been in the rain." I sighed.

"No, really. You shouldn't have to suffer. Here, take my coat for now." He said, taking the thick, grey coat off his arms.

"It's really okay. I'll be fine until I get home." I assured.

"I insist. Just wear it until you warm up." He insisted.

"Alright, fine. Only because you were so nice about it." I laughed a little before taking the jacket from his hands.
