I must have been hungry when I wrote this. The poem talks about how a romantic relationship starts but sadly ends, in portrayal by a set course meal of appetizer, main course, and dessert, in a fancy restaurant.

Received from you a small menu,
Beautifully encrypted, the meals of few,
There are no pictures, just words to describe,
The course meal of today for two,
Appetizer wasn't ordered,
But it's a must we should have,
Like the introduction we had,
It comes first before other haves,
The awaited main course arrived,
It's something that'll make you full,
Like the flowering words you utter,
It's my soul you now rule,
Lastly the dessert,
Something cold or something sweet,
Like your words that are made of candy,
But I get cold with the hint of mint,
Yet sadly,
We have to pay the price,
The expensive thought of paying the meal,
It's not even worth its size,
I paid for a full meal,
And you gave me a half,
Like how I asked for forever,
But you gave me not enough.
