I walk into the living room to see Caroline putting on the boys shoes. Luke is turning off the TV, preparing for us to leave. He goes,"And there she is!!" Both of the boys jump up to greet me. "Hey Cheyenne!!" "Hey y'all." Caroline looks up at me, "I meant to ask you, do you go by Cheyenne or do you have a nickname you go by?"

"My parents use to call me Anne sometimes, for short. Y'all can call me whatever." "Ok, I was just wondering cause we call Bo "BoBo" and Tatum "Taterbug"," she says. I nod in response, and before I can say anything else to her Luke asks me a question.

"So you decided not to change? Those jeans look comfortable. Good choice, you look beautiful!" I flush a bit, I need to tell him and Caroline the truth about why I didn't change. "Well, that's not exactly why I didn't change. I flush a bit more. Him and Caroline both look up at me. "What's the matter baby?" Still flushing, I respond, "Well, um...er..I don't have any clothes. The lady who runs the orphanage wouldn't let me bring any of my belongings with me when I left my old house. I have nothing." My face feels hot now. "Oh, I'm so stupid! I should've known that, because you didn't bring anything with you," he says. "No, you're not stupid!" Caroline motions for me to sit in between her and Luke. "It's ok baby girl, we can go get you some clothes tomorrow. That sound good?" "Yeah! Thanks." "You're welcome." Luke's got his arm around me now as he says," And don't be embarrassed to tell us these things either. We're you're parents now, and were here for you." I look up at Caroline then to Luke, "I love y'all already." They both kiss me, "We love you too baby girl."
