LUKE'S POV

When Caroline and I finally got up off the floor, we went to see our beautiful baby girl. Now It's almost midnight, Caroline is asleep, and so is Cheyenne. She hasn't awoken from her coma yet. The doctor said soft music often helps the patient's brain cells start circulating again. Maybe I should sing to her. She loves "You Don't Know Jack".

I start singing that lightly. "He asked me for a dollar. I said go get a job," I sang. I continued to the chorus. I saw her finger move. "And if ya think it's just a bottle in an ole' paper bag ya don't know jack."

Her eye barely opened, and closed real fast. I wake Caroline. "What's wrong babe?" "She waking up!" Caroline sits straight up. "Baby girl? Can you hear us? It's Mama and Daddy," she says rubbing Cheyenne's hand. Cheyenne opens her eyes very slowly.

CHEYENNE'S POV

The last thing I remember is blackness, and being put into an ambulance. Now I've woken just a bit. I slowly open my eyes. It must be late. It's all dark, but I can see Mama and Daddy. I turn my head, oww. That hurts just a bit. I see Mama holding my hand. Her mascara and eyeliner are smeared. She must have been crying. "Daddy? Mama?" They both smile at each other. "What's wrong baby girl? We're so glad you're awake!!" "I'm sorry I put ya through that." Daddy shakes his head. "Baby, it wasn't your fault. Thank God you're alive. I about had a heart attack baby girl. We about lost you." "Daddy?" "Yes?" "I love you so much, and you too Mama." "We love you."

It's silence for a moment. All you can hear is the noise from the heart monitor and machines all around me buzzing. Gah, my head is pounding now. By now, Mama is up in the bed with me, holding me in her arms. It feels so good to be held. I love both of my parents so much. "Mama?" "Yes baby girl?" "My head is pounding," I inform her. "Luke? Can you go get the nurse?" Luke nods, kisses me on the forehead, and goes out of the room.

I know it's kinda short, but I think it's good for now! Hopefully new update tonight!! Sorry for not updating last night. I had some stuff to do. 😒
