Sesshomaru and Inuyasha: Forever Brothers

Chapter 6: True Brothers

Sesshomaru's P.O.V

The prophecy really happened. I asked Inuyasha's forgiveness and he did. That's the first time I cried. Since in the beginning, my hatred on Inuyasha was very affective. The day I regained my arm that he cut, I can hear his words while I was inside Magatsuhi's body. I was too selfish. All I want is power. And I realize, our father had tested me if I had a heart. Inuyasha said that after he forgive me. I was proud to be his older brother. The others think I'm going to kill him. That night, we camp in the forest. I noticed that Inuyasha wasn't with the others.

"Where's Inuyasha?" I asked

"Maybe he's down by the river." the monk answered

I walk away to look for him. As I search the forest, I can smell Inuyasha's scent. It's by the river. I went there and I found him.

"Inuyasha?" I called

Instead of being with his friends, it seems that something troubling him. Inuyasha didn't answer. I walk over and put my hand on his shoulder. He looked at me with his golden eyes and something silver in it. "Tears?" I thought. This is the first time I saw Inuyasha cry. I sat beside him and asked.

"What's wrong?" I asked in my gentle voice

"Nothing. It seems that. It's my first time I see you shed tears earlier." Inuyasha said

I wonder why he kiss my forehead. It's because he loves me?

"Sesshomaru?" Inuyasha said

"Yes?" I said in my cold voice

"Are you still mad at me?" he asked

My eyes suddenly narrowed. That question makes my heart fill with pain.

"No, Inuyasha. I'm not mad at you." I answered

Inuyasha stood up and I followed. I noticed the pain and sadness inside him. It seems he doesn't want me to get hurt. I walked towards him with my eyes fixed on him.

"Uhh...Sesshomaru, what are you doing?" Inuyasha asked

I put my hands gently on his waist and push him towards me. I wrapped my arms around him so I can comfort him.

"Inuyasha. You're my responsibility now and no one else's. I can't let anyone hurt you." I said

In surprise, I felt that he buried his face on my fluff. We both sat on the grass again as I put my hand on his head and soothing his hair.

"Sesshomaru?" Inuyasha moaned

"Yes?" I asked

"I love you." he said

My heart skipped faster. My anger and hatred on my little brother slipped away. I started to love him like a real one.

"I love you too, Inuyasha." I said

I can see his lips moved in the corner. "Is he smiling?" I wonder. A smile gently cross my lips. My love for my brother grow inside my heart.

Kagome's P.O.V

I woke up in the morning without Inuyasha sleeping with us. It seems that Sango and Shippo were awake.

"Have you guys seen Inuyasha?" I asked

They both shook their heads when Shippo answered

"I haven't seen him. I think Sesshomaru went to look for him last night." Shippo said

"What?" I yelled

"That's right. Sesshomaru ask me where Inuyasha is. It seems that he's worried about him. I can feel the pain and sadness inside Sesshomaru's heart." Miroku answered

I put my one finger in my face and started thinking. Suddenly, the answer popped out my head.

"I know what Sesshomaru is up to?" I yelled

"What?" Sango asked

"He's going to kill Inuyasha!" I yelled as Jaken startled because off my voice

"We have to find him before it's too late." I said as four of us darted in the forest. We ran until we found a tree. We saw Sesshomaru leaning on the tree trunk with Inuyasha sleeping on his lap.

"Couldn't it be?" Shippo said

"They're finally real brothers." Sango said

I stared at the brothers again. Sesshomaru was asleep with his back on the trunk and Inuyasha sleeping on his lap. I can feel my blood boiling inside. "Am I jealous?" I wonder. I also had a little brother in the modern era. Every time I saw Inuyasha with Sesshomaru, it makes me miss my brother also. I see that Sesshomaru's eyes opened. He looked at Inuyasha and soothing his hair with his hand. "He never did anything like that." I thought. I went back to the camp to get ready for our travels. It seems that Ayamara is awake.

"Where you've been?" she asked

"In the woods. Looking around." I answered

"I see. Where's Inuyasha and lord Sesshomaru?" she asked

My blood is rising again. I wonder why. Am I really jealous?

"No. I don't know." I asked

"Okay. If you say so." Ayamara said and she picked up her dragon staff.

We continued walking to search for the shards and hunt Naraku down.

1 hour later...

Inuyasha had ignored me for 1 hour. He's busy talking to Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru is also ignoring Jaken. Every time Inuyasha is with Sesshomaru, I wanted to pull Inuyasha away from his heartless brother.

"Is there something wrong, Kagome?" Miroku asked

"I'm fine." I answered sarcastically

"It seems that you look mad." Sango said

"Maybe you're mad at Inuyasha because he's with Sesshomaru for almost an hour." Shippo said

I was annoyed. But, they're right. I love Inuyasha. But, it seems that his love for Sesshomaru grew inside him.
