My heart ached at the sight of Allison crying. I regret telling her everything. I shouldn't have. She wanted to have a good time, and I ruined it for her. I ruin a lot of things for her. Like, for her tenth birthday her foster parents were going to have a surprise birthday party for her and me being me, I told her. Or when she got her first boyfriend, I told him that she was cheating on him, causing him to break up with her. I know that was mean, but I was jealous and lonely. Ever since she started dating him she left me behind. I wanted my best friend back, so I did what could do eliminate the source.
"Look Allison, I am so sorry, I didn't mean to spring that up on you." I apologize.
She doesn't say anything. She just gets up and starts walking towards her car. I chase after her, grabbing her by the hand and turning her around.
"Please Allison, at least let me explain!"
I looked right into her teary eyes. Hoping she'll give me a chance.
"Fine." is all she said. She opens the drivers side door, starting the car. I quickly get in and as soon as we shut the doors she takes off.
"Where are you going?" I ask.
"No where, I'm waiting for you to start explaining." she sighs.
I begin explaining everything to her. How I had the police on Garrets case ever since the day he died.
"No, that can't be. My mom is dead. I remember the night. I saw it with my own eyes!" she cries.
She slams on the brakes, putting her car in park.
"Can you please drive?" she quietly asks, opening the door.
I step out letting her in the passengers side. After shutting the door, I go to the drivers side.
"Home?" I ask, putting the car in drive.
"No." she shakes her head. "The clock tower."
"Are you sure Allison?"
"Positive."
