"Hey loser!" Someone yelled

"Sup freak" Another smirked

"Hey it's the girl with gay dads." More laughed

"Idiot!" Another yelled

This was how my day usually went. I woke up at seven in the morning and took a shower, got dressed, brushed my hair, breakfast, brush my teeth and then drove to school arriving at eight-thirty. Then, I sat underneath the tree and read a book I was currently interested in, while listening to music through my ear buds.

School didn't start until nine, so I always had about twenty minutes before the abuse began again.

Now I was walking to AP English when my back was suddenly slammed into the nearby lockers. I looked up to see Trevor Dobson, the most popular guy in this school.

"Sup, freak" He spat at me as he held me tightly against the cold metal.

I've learned over the years that staying silent was always the best option, unless they absolutely give you an order to speak. I had to learn that the hard way.

"What's up with your two gay boy lovers." He smirked

"Shut up" I whispered hoping to God he didn't hear me, but unfortunately he did and the next thing I know I'm being thrown to the ground.

"What was that, freak" He said as his foot made contact with my side.

A whimper escaped my lips as I felt pain shoot through my veins.

He was about to lead his foot to my stomach when he was stopped by a voice.

"Mr. Dobson, you better stop this instant!" I was in too much pain to look up, but still I recognized that voice.

Mr. Rory. The Chemistry teacher.

"What do you think you're doing?" Mr. Rory asked in anger

"I-I uu-hh I w-was j-just -" Trevor stuttered but Mr. Rory interrupted him.

"No, I want you to head straight to the principles office and I'll be there in a minute." Commanded Mr. Rory.

Trevor's head fell as he slowly walked towards the office. Only then did I realize the halls were completely empty, which meant I was late for class.

"Crap" I muttered to myself.

I felt arms wrap around my injured waist gently and help me up. When I was on my feet I noticed it was Mr. Rory.

"Thanks, Mr. R" I mumbled loud enough for him to hear.

"No problem, Amelia, but I think you should go to the nurse to get checked out." He suggested

"No, it's okay, I'm okay" I whispered then gathered the supplies that had landed all over the floor.

Once they were gathered I rushed to AP English. When I approached the closed door to the classroom I was about ten minutes late. I took a deep breath before placing my hand on the knob and slowly turning it. I gently pushed in the door open and I immediately felt the eyes glued to my self-conscious body.

"You're late, Miss. Thompson."

"Mr. Jameson, I'm sorry." I said before rushing to my seat.

"As I was saying before I was interrupted," he sent me a glare before continuing "We are going to be working on a new project." About ninety-five percent of the room groans "In this generation most of you don't open your minds to different people. So, I will be assigning you a partner and you will write their story. This will be due in a month and a half. I don't have an exact date because I want to see how far you guys get after a little while." He finished. A hand shot up from one of the kids. "Yes, Mr. Daniels."
