Four Years Later
I parked my car on the side of the road and grabbed the flowers. I got out and walked into the gates. I slowly approached the grave stone.
Shane Michael Williamson
Great son, boyfriend and friend
August 18, 1997 - April 14, 2015
Tears welled up in my eyes as I thought back to the last time I saw him. I took a deep breath and spoke.
"Hey, Shane. I missed you. I thought I would come and see you since I haven't been around lately with college and all." I took another deep breath trying to hold back the tears. "I kept my promise. I've met someone. I met him about three months ago and he's sweet and fun, but he's not as amazing as you. He understands my love for you, that I might never love him as much as I love you, but he's okay with that. His name is Cole and he's with me. He's in the car." I took another deep breath but instead of pushing back the tears it pushed them out. I fell to my knees. "Oh god, Shane" Soon I felt a pair of arms around me. I looked up to see Cole smiling at me. He kissed my forehead and helped me up.
"Hey, Shane. It's nice to meet you. Don't worry I'll take good care of Amelia. I know she still loves you and I'm okay with that. I just wish we could've met before. From everything that Amelia has told me you're a pretty awesome guy, and strong. I know I haven't met you, but I know we could have been great friends." I continued to watch as Cole spoke to Shane's grave while tears silently fell from my eyes. Before I knew it he had his arm around my waist. "It's okay" He whispered to me. I nodded as I laid my head on his shoulder.
"I love you, Shane" I whispered
Shane's POV {OMG!!!!!}
I watched closely as Amelia talked to my grave. I knew she didn't know it but I've been near her most of the time for the past four years. I was happy she found someone to keep her happy, and I was even happier when she said Cole could never replace my space in her heart. I defiantly approved of this guy.
"I love you, Shane" I heard Amelia whisper
I walked up to her and kissed her cheek.
"I love you, too. Forever and always" And with that I walked down the street to my moms house. Being an angel does have their perks.
