"Morning or night person?" He asked

"Night, defiantly night." I said "You"

"Same"

We have been laying here for about two hours just talking and looking at the stars. It was around nine at night.

"My turn. If you could be any animal in the world, what would it be?" I asked

"Umm..... An eagle"

"Why?"

He shrugged "I don't know I just find them cool and dangerous." I nodded. "What about you?"

"I would want to be......... Some kind of bird."

"Why?"

"Because I want to have that freedom to fly anywhere with no restrictions." I said

"Interesting. My turn. What's one thing nobody knows about you other than your family?" He asked

"Umm...... I taught myself how to play the guitar."

"That's so cool."

"What about you?"

"Um..... I sing" I looked at him shocked

"Really?"

"Yeah"

"Can you sing something for me?" I asked

"Um........ Sure, can I borrow your guitar?" He asked

I nodded as I got up and went inside. I ran up to my room and grabbed my guitar then went back downstairs. I handed it to him and then sat in front of him. He took a deep a deep breath before he started to play chords. I didn't recognize the song until he started to sing.

Hey there Delilah what's it like in New York City

I'm a thousand miles away

But girl tonight you look so pretty, yes you do

Times Square can't shine as bright as you, I swear it's true

Hey there Delilah don't you worry about the distance

I'm right there if you get lonely give this song another listen

Close your eyes, listen to my voice it's my disguise

I'm by your side

Oh it's what you do to me

Oh it's what you do to me

Oh it's what you do to me

Oh it's what you do to me

What you do to me

Hey there Delilah, I know times are getting hard

But just believe me girl, someday I'll pay the bills with this guitar

We'll have it good, we'll have the life we knew we would

My word is good

Hey there Delilah, I've got so much left to say

If every simple song I wrote to you

Would take your breath away, I'd write it all

Even more in love with me you'd fall, we'd have it all

Oh it's what you do to me

Oh it's what you do to me

Oh it's what you do to me

Oh it's what you do to me

What you do to me

What you do to me

A thousand miles seems pretty far

But they've got planes and trains and cars

I'd walk to you if I had no other way

Our friends would all make fun of us

And we'll just laugh along because we know

That none of them have felt this way

Delilah I can promise you

That by the time that we get through

The world will never ever be the same

And you're to blame

Hey there Delilah

You be good and don't you miss me

Two more years and you'll be done with school

And I'll be making history like I do

You'll know it's all because of you

We can do whatever we want to

Hey there Delilah here's to you

This one's for you

Oh it's what you do to me

Oh it's what you do to me

Oh it's what you do to me

Oh it's what you do to me

What you do to me

When he finished I instantly clapped. "You have an amazing voice." I said

"Thanks, I've never really sang in front of anyone except my sister." He said handing the guitar back to me.

I muttered a thanks as I placed it away from us. "Now, what do you want to do?" I asked

"I actually had a question." He said suddenly looking nervous.

"What is it?"

"How would you like to come to my house for dinner tomorrow night?"

I sat there shocked. He wanted me to come to his house and have dinner. His house where his mom lives. I've already met his brother and sister, but not his mom. What if she doesn't like me. "U-um... Are you sure?" I asked

"Yeah, my mom really wants to meet you." He said. "If you think it's to soon to meet her it's okay. I shouldn't have even asked. I'm so stupid. I'm sorry-" I cut his rambling off by pressing my lips on his. His hand immediately went to my cheek and my hand went to his neck. When we pulled away I bit my lip.

"It's okay, I would love to meet your mom." I said looking him in the eyes.

"Great, 'cause I thought I just ruined everything." I chuckled as I shook my head.

"Um... Can I ask you something?" I asked

"Sure"

"What are we? Like, are we dating or are we just...?" I trailed

He took my hands an entwined them together. "I'm kind of hoping you'd be my girlfriend."

I smiled as I reconnected our lips. When we pulled apart I smiled again. "I'd love that." I said

"Good."

"Good."

I laughed as he pushed me to the ground and started tickling me.

"S-stop" I said through my laughter

"No" He said continuing.

After wiggling a lot I finally got out from under him and pinned him down straddling his waist and holding his arms above his head.

"Not so tough now are you?" I said breathing heavily.

Before I knew it I was back on the ground and the tickling started again.

I don't remember the last time I laughed this much and hadn't had to force it.
