When I came to again, I was sitting in the middle of the forest, in a white dress. Just like the dream I had before. I scrambled to get up but stopped when I sensed another presence behind me. The person came daringly close, to the point I felt his breath down my neck.

" Why are you so startled princess?"

I stilled when I recognized the voice.

" Jack?"

I turned and expected to see Jack but instead I saw...

" Genevie!"

My eyes snapped open and I saw Jack's frantic expression. I looked down and saw that I was still wearing the deep blue gown I had picked out.

" Did you want to go home? There's still hours of this dance left."

I shook my head. My family would lose face if I left this early. This was one of the most important balls and Archer and Caden not being here already made us look bad.

" I'm just going to go outside to get some fresh air."

I stepped out onto the balcony and sighed.

" That was the quite the act there ."

Elliot looked at me with his ever changing expression.

" I don't know what happened to me in there."

" I know what happened."

I turned to him, eyebrows knitted together.

" What do you mean?"

Before he could say anything else, I heard someone call out to me.

" Genevie! Let's go dear!"

I reluctantly walked away from Elliot, unsure of what he meant.

" Are you sure you're okay? I don't want to leave you feeling dazed." Jack looked at me with worry, ignoring his band mates who were desperately calling out to him to hurry up.

" I'm fine, get going before you miss your flight okay?"

He nodded and kissed my forehead before running over to the guys and boarded. I waved and instantly felt a great sense of loneliness.

The next few days passed by slowly, I subjected to the things my parents wanted me to do, it's like I reverted to my old self again. I was leaning against one of the many windows in the estate when I noticed how dark it had gotten out of nowhere. One of the the many maids that worked here passed by with linens in her hand.

" You're going to hang that outside?"

She gave me an odd look.

" Of course miss, it's sunny out." I looked again, it was. How strange. She smiled at me and continued on her way to do her chore. Something didn't feel right, ever since that night, I had an unsettling feeling. Mom zoomed by me, it seemed like she was in a hurry.

" Mom? What's going on?"

She looked at me then looked at me fully.

" Why aren't you dressed love? The Stones have invited us over for lunch. You have to dress appropriately, none of that foolish stuff you wear alright? Elizabeth, help pick out an outfit for her please."

Elizabeth, my personal maid that so happened to be passing by whisked me away to my room. She dug around in my closet before pulling out a peach lace style dress. It was definitely outdated.
