We'd been driving for days now. The car itself running on fumes, our water almost all gone, I hadn't drunken much of the water so I had half a bottle left. I'd stuck to my general alcoholic consumption. It kept the nightmares at bay. I'd woken up screaming quite a few times. I knew they wanted to ask what was wrong with me but none dared ask.

FLASHBACK:

"You can't honestly tell me you find this interesting." I heard Nick's voice ring, trudging into my home. Turning, setting my eyes on him with a tight lipped frown I just shrugged.

"I do find it interesting, because people find aphrodisiacs in strange things." I slyly shared with him, we were in our final year of high school right now and Nick just looked at me pausing for a long moment and laughing, shaking his head as he inched closer to my body letting his hand softly run up my thigh.

"Is that right? God, I love you, you know that right?" Nick's voice muttered as he crashed his lips against mine and just like that, everything I was thinking left my mind.

"I know. Just like I also know I'm crazy about you." I muttered pulling him closer pressing my lips against his pulling him over the top of me, letting him straddle me as his hands set on my stomach pushing up slightly as he pressed his lips against mine. I couldn't get him off my mind, I'd realised I'd love him forever, and falling in love was like your lover was holding a gun and pointing it at your heart, you awaited in anticipation for him to pull the trigger but he hadn't the courage until the love and passion began to fade.

"Does this mean you love me?" Nick asked sweetly pressing his lips against my neck, his lips engraining a smile into my neck.

"I will love you always and forever, even after forever ends." I whispered and he pulled away from me the smile faded, his eyes full of pure love as he stroked my face lightly softly pressing his lips against mine, leaving a trail of stinging fire that I couldn't get over. It fed me on, kept me alive, with each kiss, it was a breath of the freshest air I'd ever known.

"Forever sounds like a promise I can keep." Nick muttered leaning down his body grinding sensually against mine as he pressed a loving kiss against my lips.

END OF FLASHBACK:

We'd come to a sudden stop trailing off the road and Maddison jumped off first. None of us had really talked to each other, we'd kept looking around, desperate to find Travis or even stumble across Nick. But I wasn't the only one that wanted to give up. I watched as Strand and Alicia walked over to Maddison trying to talk her out of trying to find them. After everything that happened, Soon enough we moved the fumes not wearing off as we stopped to where Strand left the Abigale. Jumping out of the back of the truck I walked to the edge of the cliff looking out into the sea seeing nothing but calm blue water.
