I was being dragged along for what seemed like miles, I'd tried to fight the men off but I'd been left so tired. My body broken and my mind numb. As I was pushed to my knees I wished I had stayed with Strand. For all his failings he would have looked after me. But it was too late now. The head began burning at my head as my wide eyes glanced around landing on skulls and dead bodies that littered the ground. I wanted to jump, scream, run, try and fight my way out but to the stronger man asserting his dominance I failed to fight, I failed. I would always fail. I had fallen into a bad cycle of submission. We entered through the gates and I glanced around blood covering my face I was pushed in the same direction was Travis shoved into the car next to him.

"Don't worry Kali" Travis whispered to me but I didn't know if I could believe him. There was always something to worry about. I was soon pulled away from Travis entering a compound. Hearing screams in the distance, gun shots going off, I tried to fight the men off me but I was shoved against the fall.

"5'5, 55kg" They called out before writing in sharpie something on my hand. I felt the predatory gaze on me as I was shoved into the room, I glanced around letting my head fall back on the railings. Glancing around I saw Travis from across the room. I noticed him looking past me. Confusion burned in my brain as I turned looking over my arm to see Nick. His eyes landed on me after they landed on Travis. I was already close enough I didn't worry about sliding over near Nick.

"Your mother and sister are here, they took them somewhere else." Travis informed Nick like he'd actually care. I turned my gaze away from him looking at all these grave faces.

"Chris? They took us at the crossing we were ambushed" Nick informed Travis with a stunned and grave expression upon hearing of Chris' death. I was slightly grief stricken but I'd never really talked to him much.

"Did you see anyone? At the boarder?" The girl beside Nick, lying her head on his shoulder asked looking over to Travis. I turned keeping my eyes on her but I just looked away quickly.

"Just the dead." Travis answered barely a whisper.

"I saw this place and thought it was a refugee camp." Nick shared haunted by leading men and women to their deaths.

"You couldn't know. I thought the patrol was military." Travis shared. I felt eyes burning into my skin; turning back I was met with the eyes of Nick, worried, concerned. All I saw was judgement. Even after what Strand told me, I didn't believe everyone would act that way.

"Kali..."Nick trailed off causing the girl to look up in my direction. I turned away from him; I didn't want to talk with him. Despite everything I was still too damaged for everything. I remembered the panic in my chest that rose upon feeling those men hold me, bruising my arms causing me pain. My gaze turned up upon seeing a man standing there looking down at Travis.

"You're Travis..." The mans deep voice pointed out before glancing down at me kneeling down and pressing his hand to my face which caused me to jump back in fear making him almost howl with laughter standing up as he had rubbed a small fraction of the blood off my face. "And you are Kali." He pointed out as Travis stood up. "Are you Mexican?" The man asked Travis.
