Breaking Free

You're What ? Chapter 10

Warning : This chapter has a few cuss words in it , so if you don't want to see these words - whore , slut , and ho - I suggest you skip this chapter or ignore them if you don't want to miss this very important chapter .

I threw my phone down and ran to Riley's room. I slammed the door behind me and locked it. I sat by the bay window , curled up   and started to cry .

Cheater , slut ? How could they think these things about me ? I shouldn't have trusted Sarah . I should've known better . Sarah's the gossip queen , I shouldn't have told her where I was going , that was stupid , and a mistake . Lucas . Lucas is probably so upset ! It gets me  so ticked off cause I would never cheat on someone, it's such a messed up thing to do , you don't do that someone .
Tears started pouring down my face . I was going to be the school's new " slut " now . Slut , slut , slut ! At least I wasn't a ho, had to be greatful for that .

Poor Stiles ! He was gonna get a lot of hate , too. He knew that Maya was dating Lucas , man whore alert ! Is what Sarah would say about him in her next blog . I hit my head against my knees a few times , still curled up . Then , I heard a bang ! Bang ! Bang ! It was someone knocking on the door .

"What ! " I asked , annoyed , just wanting to be alone .

"Let me in ! " Riley yelled back .

" No ! " I yelled . She signed loudly . I heard her walk off , too. I started tearing up again . A few minutes later , I heard wind gust through the room and felt wind hit my right side . There Riley was , on the fire escape , with the window opened , looking at me . I sighed and put my head back between my chest and my knees .

" Maya... " Riley said , soothing. " Nothing happened , right ? "

" No . " I sniffles , still hiding my face .

"Then you have nothing to worry about . " she said patting my back . I lifted my head up , and you could tell she was surprised I was crying , the only times I really cry in front of her was when we argued , which didn't happen very often .

" Lucas . " I said with a sigh .

" Just tell him the truth. "

" Which is ? "

" Tell  him everyone canceled but you didn't know it , neither did Stiles , but you already bought the tickets and you didn't want to waste them . And tell Lucas you guys just hung out . But , you had tons of fun . Tell Lucas Stiles reminds you of Farkle , but less geeky. " she giggled at the end . I giggled a little , too .

" T-thanks Riles . " I gave a little , toothless , smile .

"No problem , peaches . Thunder . " She said , sticking her pointer finger into the air .

" Lightning . " I said back doing the same until our fingers collided . Once collided , we wrapped our finger around each others . I put my head on her shoulder , and she put her head on my head . We sat there for a while , until there was a knock on the door . Riley sat up and went to the door . She unlocked it and opened it . I walked up to see who it was . Josh and Stiles were standing there , awkwardly .

" How can I help you ? " Riley asked looking back and forth from each of them .

" Uh , karaoke . " Josh said having a thumbs up and pointing it behind him , motioning like a hitch hiker . Stiles looked at me and quickly looked away .

"How about a movie ? " Riley asked , instead .

Josh looked at Stiles who missed his head , " Sure Riley , what about you Maya ? " he asked looking at me . I smiled and nodded my head . Then , he realized I had been crying , or was  crying still because I was still tearing a little . " Who's ! Maya ! Are you okay ? " Josh asked pushing the door all the way open and almost shoving Riley .
