Sorry , what ?

What did Lucas mean he liked me , that was insane! I always saw Riley and Lucas as a couple. To be honest, I never even put the thought of me and Lucas together in my mind. I had all the thoughts going through my head while I was just standing there, staring at Lucas with him down the hall. He looked nervous and I didn't know if that was because I hadn't said anything back or the fact that I couldn't breathe and my face was turning purple. I ended up guessing both. After a few more seconds of nothing I felt light headed and had to force myself to take a deep breathe.

Eventually, standing there - with a worried Lucas - I got the word out "Sorry?" with a confused face.

" I was just kidding ma'am . " Lucas said while tipping his imaginary cowboy hat. He had some enthusiasm in there despite he was in a bad mood.

"Okay good," I felt like I could breathe again " so who do you like? " I asked with enthusiastic curiosity.

" no one really , " Lucas continued "Riley is really just a friend, I mean I could  see her as more than that, I just choose not to."

" Ah I see. " I said as I looked around to see Mr. Matthews and the entire class watching me from the window. I immediately looked away and looked down. I felt the warmth flush into my cheeks as I started blushing. After about a minute or so I looked back up at Mr. Matthews and mouthed "Don't worry I'm going to go find her."
I waved to Lucas and went off looking down the halls for Riley, and once I found her, it was not a pretty sight.

Hey guys sry this chapter is so short I have been busy lately and I waited to add more tension . I wanted to thank you bc this story has already gotten so much love for two chapters so thank you. The next chapter will be super juicy and starting into the drama and hormones!!! I know this chapter was short but the next one will be longer. Love y'all. bye !!!
