Through the Years *Solby*

Colby hated Katrina. Sure she was a beautiful talented girl, she was sweet and all around perfect. Really, it wasn't her fault Colby despised her, it was more so his heart was to blame. It took Colby 10 years to figure out his feelings for Sam. The skip of his heart when he Sam said his name and the way the butterflies swirled into a frenzy every time Sam smiled in his direction. Colby was gay, or at least bisexual, or something because one thing was painfully obvious for the brunette, he was in love with his best friend. Colby wanted to admit his feelings aloud and have his feelings shared but he knew better. Katrina loved Sam, Sam loved Katrina, and Colby was just Sam's secret admirer who would be kept a secret. So Colby secretly loathed Katrina as he watched the couple cuddle on the couch beside him as his face held a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes. 

 Some T.V. show played in the back ground as Katrina leaned into Sam's shoulder. For some reason every time Katrina's hands ran down his arm or her side touched his nothing happened. The feeling of electricity that he always shared with Colby just wasn't there when he touched the girl he loved...Love, was that the right word? Katrina was kind, gentle, talented, gorgeous, and yet Sam felt nothing for her. It was love but more so as a friend type love and it scared him. He felt more emotions when Colby looked at him then when Katrina kissed him and Sam knew that it wasn't normal. For 10 years he has hid the blush that erupts on his face when Colby looked at him or to steady his shaking hands as Colby brushed against him sending some current down his spine. It seemed to be so painfully clear that he had feelings for Colby but he couldn't. The messy haired brunette was his best friend and Sam had convinced himself that it wasn't possible to fall for your best friend. 

 Everyone in the house could see it, everyone but Katrina. The subtle glances the boys shared, and the ghost of a smile that grew on their lips when they talked. Aaron was almost always sick of seeing how cute Colby and Sam were. Corey and Devyn were about to break up Katrina and Sam just to get the two together. Elton watched the two with a knowing gaze urging the rest of the house to relax and let fate take its course. So they took advice from 'wise uncle Elton' and watched, waiting for the two idiots to realize that they loved each other.
