The ring box still sat in Colby's drawer, his mind never once forgetting about it. There had been plenty of opportunities to pop the question but Colby wanted the evening to be special. It took meticulous planning but he had made a dinner reservation at the fanciest restaurant in town one year in advance. Sam's 30th birthday was to be one he would never forget. So for now he settled with thinking of the ring and planning.
Sam wanted to tell Colby he knew and that he wanted to get married as soon as possible. He loved the brunette with all of his heart and was ready but he was afraid Colby wasn't. He didn't mean to find the ring box, he just happened to be putting away some of his laundry and found it. It was a mere accident, but Sam was happy found it none the less. He was too afraid to ask what Colby thought their future held. Now he knew that Colby was thinking about forever, just like he was. So each day he giddily sat and waited for the question to be popped but it never happened. But it was okay because Colby had the ring and Sam could wait till he was ready.
the two were desperately in love after all.
