Addi,

Why did you leave me alone?
Couldn't you tell that you were the best thing in my life and when you left you took all of my happiness with you?

I wish I could give you piggyback rides on the beach again like when we were little. Just to see your smile and hear you laugh.

No one really mentions you much anymore, except me.
I bring you up in conversations with strangers like you're still here, they'll ask me how old you'll turn and I'd want to say 14, but I can't.

I tell them how you always wanted to be a nurse, but specifically for older people because you loved them so much you wanted every grandma and grandpa to feel loved.

I tell them how you were at the top of your class, and how intelligent you were, but the conversations always end the same way.

They'd ask where you are now and I'd say with our grandma Eddie.

They don't know the difference, but I do.
