I Know (Poem)

They say to write what you know. What I know from experience, or because my heart and mind tell me it's true? I suppose they're equally important.

I know that if I drop a stone, it will fall to the ground. I know if I drop a balloon, it will fall to the sky.

I know that I will never fall to the sky.

I know that water goes in my mouth. I know it hurts when it comes out my nose.

I know it hurts more when it comes out my eyes.

I know that the color red is for love. I know the color green is for life.

I know that the color of a blank page will always be my favorite.

I know my name. I know who I am.

I know the first is true and the second never will be.

I know that doesn't matter.

They say that writing is discovery. I know that they are right.
