Ashes

As I peek through the wooden floor boards,
I feel my heart set on fire.
Seeing them make love to each other.
When not so long ago I thought I'd be in her place.
He has left me trapped here underneath.
Feeling so hopeless, watching her take my place.
I feel my heart's flames burn out.
Here it's ashes lay.
I'm yelling out in pain.
But he ignores the voices inside his head.
Telling him to stop hurting me.
Yet still, he kisses her instead.
The way I always wanted him to kiss me.
