"There are just so many galaxies out there, Doctor and they are gorgeous! Brilliant!" You smiled laying on your bed staring at the ceiling. The Doctor was sitting at your desk, the chair turned around to face you, just listening to you rant on and on.

"Do you remember when I saw that solar system outside Martha's ship two weeks ago?" You looked at him.

He smiled, lips flattened without saying a word.

"It was so beautiful! Breath taking. I always felt like I was missing something in my life and that was it!"

"I'm not shocked you felt that way, You've been a Timelord this whole time. We were meant to travel through galaxies and time."

"Doctor, how do you get used to your regenerations?" You sat up in bed, turning to hang your legs over the edge.

"I always just forget about it, until I regenerate again."

"What did you look like before you regenerated?" You asked him.

"Which regeneration? It's happened nine times already" He laughed.

"Wow, I wonder how many times I have. I've spent my whole life thinking I had always looked that way but I guess I didn't."

"I like this you. She is quite pretty, love."

You blushed at the fact he called you Love.

"Eh, thank you."

He gave you a bright eyed smile. You sat back on your bed, legs folded messing with your hair. You sat there a moment in silence.

"I wish I had my memory back." You paused. "I think I would've been a great Timelord. I bet I kicked some-" The doctor cleared his throat reminding you not to curse. "bum" You smiled a little.

He sat in front of you, legs folded, on the bed and lifted his eyebrows. "I'm so sorry." He looked at you with sympathy.

"Doctor, it isn't your fault."

"I know, I'm just... sorry." he flattened his lips.

"We'll figure it out! We always do you and me!" You smiled.

"You're right."

"Doctor, Is that okay if I go back home for a day?" You asked looking into his big brown eyes.

"It might be extremely dangerous ______." The doctor looked at you worried.

"I know, but I just want to go work one more time before I pick up and go." You smiled. "Then I'm here to stay. Besides what could go-"

"Don't!... say it." The Doctor's eyes grew wide. He breathed out "Fine, but" He reached into his pocket for a cell phone and his sonic screwdriver. "Jack and I are going to see if we can explore a bit today. I have some things to show him. Take this." He handed you the phone. "If you get in ANY trouble, call me."

"Okay. I will do." You beamed getting up from your bed. The doctor left and entered the coordinates and time while you got out of your "Timelord" clothes, putting on the outfit you were wearing when you first met the Doctor. You wandered out into the main console room and the doctor grinned at you.

"London 2017, the day you left. " The Doctor no longer smiled. "Oh! you're gonna need this!" The doctor threw a small gadget to you.

"What is this?" You looked at it.

"A shimmer device, It will make you look like you before your regeneration. You can't exactly walk into work a stranger." He lifted his eyebrows. You pressed the button applying the shimmer.
