A/N: Posting another one of my 'ayokong ipost kasi nahihiya ako' pieces (kasi kumapal na mukha ko ngayon, char). Wala lang, bigla ko lang naalala. All the way back from when AMACon 3 was on.

Oh, and Happy 25th Monthsary, fandom! 🤗❤️

I watch as Parisians casually roam through the park, as if they are unaware of the iconic tower in their midst.

I stare at it for the nth time, still amazed by its intricate architecture, and its ageless colour.

"What time is it? Hay, Ms. Mendoza, late as always. How is it that you manage to still keep your job?"

It's been a while since I saw her. Our schedules have been clashing for 2 weeks now, therefore, my excitement cannot be contained.

She is wearing a white spaghetti strap dress printed with green leaves and red carnations. She agitatedly slips off her sandals before stepping on the luscious green grass. A childish act, but yet so elegantly performed by her.

She frantically waves her arms at me, probably not realising that her previous deed has already caught my attention. I raise my arm and give her a simple wave.

Her long brown hair flounces, and her sandals dangle in her hand as she runs towards me.

A sandal slips from her grip. My reflexes push me to my feet, as if I would be able to catch it in time before it falls to the ground.

She picks it up and raises her hand, signalling for me to stay in my place. I place my palm on my mouth, and let out a chuckle as her quirkiness got to me.

She comes near me, wisps the strands of hair from her face, and straightens her dress.

"Hiii," she draggingly expresses.

I guide her onto the picnic blanket, being careful that she doesn't step on the array of cheeses and crackers I obsessively presented.

"Uy, grabeng effort naman 'to," she says, eyes wide open with the biggest smile.

"Of course, only for you, Menggay."

She pauses, and gives me a shy stare.

"What?" I ask her.

"Ha? Ah kasi, hindi pa din ako sanay na tinatawag mo akong Menggay."

"Why not? It's your nick-name right?"

"Yeah, well, kasi nasanay ako sa Ms. Mendoza eh."

I give her a smirk, and notice her cheeks tint red. It was my cue to stop.

We sit there for a while eating and talking until she introduces an intriguing idea.

"Ano kaya kung...hindi ito ang buhay natin?"

I gave her a confused look as I don't know what could've possibly triggered this concept in her mind.

"What are you trying to say?"

"Like, sa tigin mo. Magkakakilala pa din kaya tayo?"

I still can't comprehend how wide her imagination is. I guess it comes with being very literate.

"I guess so. But seriously, why are you asking such a thing?"

"Kasi..."

She pauses for a while, and she stares out to the direction of the tower. I examine her features, as they combine to create a unique piece of artwork.

"Bacause?"

She turns to me, places her hand on mine.

"Kasi masaya ako. Masaya ako na kasama kita."

"Even though we only see each other, once a week? In Paris? For like, 3 hours?"

"Oo, kahit ganito lang tayo. I am still glad that this is our reality, because I know that I have something to look forward to every week. Alam ko, na lagi kang andito. Naghihintay, nagmamahal."

We give each other a reassuring smile.

"Speaking of," she disappointedly giggles, "it's time."

I give her a nod, and start helping her up onto her feet.

"See you next week, Captain Faulkerson."

"See you Ms. Mendoza."
