You Are My Sunshine--Joshler

Jasmine Thompson plays on the radio as I wake in Josh's arms. This is exactly how I want to spend my day today, snuggled up with him while acoustic pop plays on the radio. It's lovely, being with him, but people are trying to keep me away from him. I feel Josh take a deep breath as he wakes. I bite my lip before looking up at him.

"Good morning sleepy head."

"Shut up..."

I laugh. God his morning voice. I'm pretty sure if I could physically be any emoji, I'd be heart eyes. God he's beautiful. I lie my head back down on his chest. Josh's grip tightens around my waist. I smile.

"Hey Josh..."

"Hey."

"Can you stay with me today? I don't feel like going to school or doing anything..."

"Is that a trick question?"

"Maybe."

He laughs and kisses the top of my head.

"Of course Ty. I'll stay."

"Yay!"

I get out of Josh's grasp and straddle him, smiling widely. He puts his hands on my waist as I lean down and rest my forehead on his.

"Josh..."

"Yes Tyler?"

"I wanna kiss you..."

"Then do it."

I don't even think about what I'm doing until I do. I close the gap between Josh and I. God it's like heaven. I put my hands on Josh's cheeks as I kiss him again and again, him kissing back each time. His grip on my waist tightens as we kiss. I could've stayed like this forever if my phone didn't ring.

"Ugh..."

"Well, go on then. Answer it."

I smile and sit on Josh's lap, answering the phone.

"Hello? Oh hey mum. Yeah. Um... I haven't seen him why? Oh about Brendon? I know the story it's- mum. Mum. Calm down. It's not what you think happened. N- m- okay. Okay. Bye..."

I groan and throw my phone in the floor.

"What's wrong Ty?"

"My mum. She's all like 'Have you seen Josh? Do you know what's he's done? Where are you? What are you doing?' and oh my god it's annoying."

"She's just looking out for you."

"I know but it's annoying."

I lean back down and kiss Josh again. God I'm never going to get used to this feeling. It's like... well.... I know it's cheesy but it's like a spark. It's like electricity flowing through my veins and I love it. I love everything about it. No, more like

"I love you."

I blush as I realise that what I said.

"I love you too."

I smile and kiss Josh again. Ding. I roll my eyes and pull away from Josh, grabbing my phone and seeing a text from Brendon.

'Hey, the cops found out what happened... as well as everything else. The weed. The alcohol. All of it. They're taking me away Tyler. I'm sorry. There's no telling when I'll be out. Come visit?'

I tear up at the message. Josh wipes a tear off of my cheek.

"What's wrong baby?"

"H-he's... going to prison..."

Josh takes my hand and intertwines our fingers. I look at him before breaking down. Josh wraps his arms around me and hugs me tightly, kissing my temple.
