"Putangina..." he uttered under his breath.

"Having a rough day?" A familiar feminine voice asked from behind.

He turned around to confirm who it was and he was not mistaken. It really was her.

"Missed me?" She was smiling sweetly at him.

Kung dati ay may sumisiklab na apoy sa loob nito tuwing nakikita siya, ngayon, sa hindi malamang rason ay mahihinang mga baga na lamang ang nararamdaman nito para rito.

What is happening to me? I should be happy right? She flew all the way here just to see me. Hindi ba't sabi ko kanina na namiss ko ito? Then what is this? Why don't I feel that happy?

He blankly stared at her, "Alexa..."

Ilang segundo rin silang nagtitigan bago mangiyak-ngiyak na tinakbuhan ng dalaga ang binata at niyakap. Her body was shaking against his, yet all he did was just to stare on the sand. The girl he loved for most of his life is right in front of him, crying, begging for his attention and forgiveness but what is he doing?

Nothing.

Am I being like this because I'm guilty?

Humiwalay sa kanya ang dalaga, ang kanyang mga mata'y nagtatanong, "Nashie?"

He stared at her confused features, still tongue tied and fazed with himself. 

"Galit ka pa rin?" Malungkot nitong tanong at ngumuso pa ito rito.

Snap out of it, Nash! 

He gave her a tight lipped smile, "Hindi... Nagulat lang ako na andito ka na..." pagdadahilan nito.

Nawala ang pangamba sa magandang wangis ng dalaga at ito ay napalitan ng galak. Niyakap muli siya ng dalaga ng pagkahigpit-higpit. He returned her hugs and chose to shove his negative thoughts away. His girlfriend traveled far for him, he should at least give her a warm welcome. He'll deal with his mistakes next time.

"I'm sorry, love..." she looked up to him, "I won't be that immature brat again." she sincerely promised him.

He smiled and kissed her full on the lips. He felt the usual irregular pattern of his heartbeat. His doubts and guilt were buried in the sand as he felt the love of his life smile between their kisses. Her smile intensified his innocent kisses. They held on each other tight as their lips danced to the rhythm of their love.

This feels right. 

Humiwalay lamang silang dalawa sa isa't-isa nang maubusan sila ng hangin. She lovingly stared at him and right at that moment, he swore to himself that he wouldn't let this girl go anymore. 

Yung nangyari kagabi, dahil lang yun sa alcohol. I didn't mean it at all. This girl on my arms right now, she's my world, my everything. 

"I love you..." malambing nitong turan bago muling siniil ng halik ng kasintahan.

"Andito si Alexa..." anunsiyo ni Sofia sa amin.

Natigil si Julian sa pag-aayos sa akin, "Ano? Andito na naman ang bruhang 'yun?" iritado nitong tanong.

Tumango si Sofia bilang tugon, "Kakadating lang niya mula Manila at hinaharot na raw sa baba si Nash." she even rolled her eyes.

Mukhang hindi pa nga oras upang sabihin ko kay Nash ang nararamdaman ko para sa kanya. Or is it the universe giving me my long delayed rejection already?
