Scott didn't want to know how long Allison had been cheating on him with Jackson. He knew it had been before he'd met Malia because Scott remembered that Jackson had been coming to eat at his lunch table with Allison and Stiles for the past few weeks. Always brushing it off, Scott never really thought why. But this was the reason. The reason Allison 'hadn't been able to come over' after school every week. The reason Jackson had been winking at Allison when he thought Scott was looking the other way. Always brushing it off. I'm so stupid Scott thought to himself as he started walking in the opposite direction to school. That was the last thing he wanted to do; go to school and sit through every class with Allison pretending that nothing had happened.

Not that it had bothered him. Yes, he was angry about Allison talking so dirtily about Malia but he didn't feel upset.

Scott broke into a run. He didn't know where he was going until his surroundings went from houses to trees. He was in the woods. The woods where he'd been bitten and found Malia. But he hadn't come here randomly. No, he'd been following something. A smell?

Coming to a stop at a rather large cave near the stream that ran through the woods, Scott realised he had been following a smell. The smell of a person. Malia.

Crouching slightly so he didn't bang his head on the roof of the cave, he went into the cave. It was a wide cave that seemed to go on forever. "Malia?" He called out, her name echoing off the walls.

A few seconds passed without a reply. "Malia?!" He repeated, his voice tinged with concern as he started hurrying through the cave, head slightly bent.

"Scott?" A surprised voice echoed off the walls and Scott almost laughed with relief. She was ok.

When he eventually got to the end of the cave, he found Malia, her knees hugged to her chest. "Malia?" Scott said as he sat down next to her. This part of the cave was wider and taller than the rest, almost like a path that lead to a clearing. "What are you doing here?" Scott asked, looking around the cave.

"This was my den when I was a coyote." Malia said as let go of her knees. "You uh... you followed me here." She stated quietly.

"Well I was worried about you." Scott admitted and Malia looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"No you weren't." She said with a humourless laugh.

"Feel my heartbeat." Scott took her hand and pressed it to his chest. "I'm not lying; I was worried about you."

Malia just laughed again. "Why? I tried to scratch your girlfriend's face off."

Scott sighed. "You lost control. We all do sometimes." He offered her a reassuring smile but she just looked at him.

"Have you ever lost control?" Malia asked, turning to him. Scott smiled at her.

"Yeah, loads. When I was first bitten, I used to always wolf out when I was playing lacrosse. I also once..." Scott trailed off, cringing.

"Once what?" Malia asked.

"One time I... I lost control while I was having s-"

Malia let out a choking noise before he could finish his sentence. "Ew! I did not need to know that McCall."

Scott laughed. "Well you asked!" He protested.

"Yeah well I wouldn't have asked if I knew I was going to get a story about your sex life!" Malia said and it suddenly went quiet between them.

Malia was the one to eventually break the awkward silence. "So what happens now?" She asked quietly, looking at the floor.

"Now that Allison and I..?"

Malia nodded silently.

"Well I... I want to be with you Malia." Scott admitted.

"Scott look-" Malia turned to face him. "I have never been in a relationship with someone before. No one has ever... shown an interest in me like you have and so I'm new to this." She gestured at them both of them. "Liking someone, relationships, love; I don't understand."

Scott turned to her and gently cupped her cheek with one of his hands. "I can help you to." Scott whispered softly and he leaned over to kiss her gently. "I'd like that, pretty boy." She murmured into the kiss.

Scott had only meant for it to be a quick kiss, to show her that he cared about her and he meant what he'd said. But when he went to pull away, Malia just wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer. And Scott didn't object. Instead, he wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed back.

At first the kiss was soft; a kiss that had emotion, a kiss that was gentle. But then it grew hungrier. Malia knotted her hands into Scott's shirt and leant back until she was lying across the floor of the cave, pulling Scott down on top of her. "Do you want to do this?" Scott asked, leaning his head down to trail kisses down her neck. Malia let out a quiet moan.

"Yes." She said, her voice sure as she wrapped her legs around Scott's waist.

"Ok." Scott murmured into the crook of her neck as he slid his hands up her thighs. Malia arched her back into his soft touch as her hands found the hem of Scott's shirt. She pulled it over his head as Scott stopped abruptly. "Did you hear that?" Scott asked quietly when his wolf ears suddenly registered leaves crunching underfoot.

"Scott?" A familiar voice shouted from outside the cave.

His heartrate started to quicken.

Shit.
