Sorry I haven't  uploaded in awhile but I've been busy with homework and shit so I haven't got around to writing. But here is the next chapter and I hope you like it. Please comment on anything I could improve on. Much love, x_JugheadsBeanie_x.

Scott could only stare in shock at what was in his hands. One moment there was a dog-like animal falling from the counter and now he was holding a girl ? And, Scott realised with a blush and increase in his heartbeat, she was naked.

"Are you... okay?" Scott asked awkwardly but with a soft tone when he realised she was shaking. The girl just looked up at him, fear and confusion plain in her eyes. When a few moments passed without her saying anything, he asked, "Would you like a jacket?" Barely a move of the head, she nodded and Scott pulled off his jacket and wrapped it around her. Though she flinched when his finger brushed her neck unintentionally, she stopped shaking.

Scott bit his lip before asking, "Do you have a name?" He felt her tense in his arms but she said nothing. "Do you have anywhere to go?" Scott pursued gently. She met his eyes again but didn't say or do anything that gave him an answer. "I can take you back to my house until we figure out a place for you to go if you want." Scott suggested, a question in his tone. Slowly, the girl nodded. "Okay. Can you stand?" The girl nodded and got to her  feet, wobbling slightly. Scott put out his hand to steady her and she backed slowly into it, still wobbling on her feet. "Wait," Scott said, realising something suddenly. "I have my motorbike around the back from when I left it here yesterday; I can ride us on home on it if you want." Scott suggested. The girl nodded and when Scott made sure she could stand properly on her own, he ran to get his motorbike.

He propped his bike outside the entrance to the vet and went back inside to get the girl. She was leaning against the counter, her eyes on the floor. "Um.. my motorbike is outside." Scott said and the girl looked up. He gave her a small smile which she didn't return but followed him outside.

Scott passed the girl his helmet and then hauled his leg over the bike. When the girl had slowly put the helmet on, she clambered on the back of the bike and wrapped her arms around Scott's waist. Scott was about to start the engine when a crashing noise came from the alleyway he had just retrieved his bike from. He thought to check out what had caused the noise but shrugged it off. It was probably just an animal at the bins again.

Scott pressed his feet on the pedals and the motorbike started to move, it's pace increasing as they pulled out of the vet car park and began down the road. Scott felt the girl's grip on his waist tighten when they took the corner off of Avery Street and onto his road. Within a few minutes, they were climbing off of the bike and standing outside his house. "Well, this is my house," Scott sighed, gesturing at the house surrounded by a small island of grass with a flower bed squashed in the corner. "A bit small, but-"

"My name is Malia." The girl interrupted, her voice small but steady. Scott was taken aback by the girl as this was the first thing she had said since he'd found her. He turned around to face her and their eyes met. There was something beautiful about her eyes he hadn't noticed before; a twinkling almost. They held the gaze for what felt like hours before she pulled away, her eyes dropping to the floor.

"Why didn't you tell me before?" Scott asked quietly.

The girl's eyes were still on the floor when she murmured, "Because we were being watched."
