"Say it to my face, you coward." She screams, tears streaming down her rosy cheeks, "Go on, do it."
"Why? What would that achieve?" He exclaims down the phone, his voice shaking.
"It would achieve everything - it would show me that you never loved me. Maybe you lusted after me, but if you ever loved me, you wouldn't have fallen out of love as quickly as you did," Her breathing picks up, "You know what the best thing is? I still miss the mornings that I would wake up in your arms - I miss telling you that coffee isn't breakfast. I miss leaning up on my tip toes to try and kiss your nose, and I miss hugging you goodbye, only to be greeted by you later on. The thing I don't miss is the last time you hugged me...because when you said goodbye, you meant it."
"Coffee is breakfast," He whispered, almost breathless, "and I do love you."
