"As she places the capsule on the tip of her tongue, she is flooded with that feeling. How do you describe the feeling of being able to live another day? She relies on the pills to keep her going, to keep her mind sane. Without them, her mind becomes a whirlwind and she begins to self-destruct; she is no longer safe. Although she is not addicted to these pills, she could not live without them. There's a difference between needing something and being addicted to it; with an addiction, you believe that you need it. Her hands grab fistfuls of hair as she shakes her head, trying to get rid of them. She needs to get rid of everything; she simply wants silence. Is that too much to ask for? As her fists tighten their grip around her hair, her muscles become so rigid that a swift move could rip out clumps of hair.

Oh, she's a mess. She is such a beautiful, beautiful mess."
