"There is nothing quite like losing someone that still exists, that still breathes the same air as you, still walks the same ground as you and sees the same sunset as you. There is nothing quite like the feeling of holding someone for the last time, having to say goodbye and knowing that you mean it.
Seeing his shy smile for the first time in four years was everything you could have dreamed of. Ingrained on my memory, I will always remember my brother's smile. I will always remember the way my brother and I had the same mannerisms despite being separated for four years. I will always remember the way my heart felt happy as I saw him for the first time, walking down the stairs towards me.
However, I will also remember the way my heart broke as he did not recognise me, the way he had grown up so much and changed in so many ways, reminding me of all of the moments I had missed. Finally, I will always remember his laugh. It was infectious and I wish I could hear it again and again.
But yet, here we are, having been reunited, we are separated again. I love you, my brother."
