Where is she? I was starting to get worried. I couldn't find Annabeth anywhere and it's not like her to just disappear without notice. I asked around. No one had seen her since yesterday night. I found Annabeth's deputy or most commonly known as her younger brother Malcolm Pace with his girlfriend, a beautiful tree nymph. Malcolm would know where she is. I thought as I headed towards the couple. "Hey guys!" I beamed. "Hey Malcolm have you seen Annabeth? No one's seen her and I'm getting a little bit worried." I said. "No idea where she is. She must be around somewhere." Malcolm said. "Wait Malcolm I thought you said she was in the-" the tree nymph began. Malcolm clasped his hand over his girlfriends mouth before she could spill some information. "Keesha! That was a secret remember?!" "Keesha do you know where Annabeth is?" Malcom removed his hand. "No! No idea." Claimed the tree nymph looking around avoiding my eyes. "Keesha I know you know where Annabeth is. And you will tell me because you're the worst at keeping secrets." I said leaning in closer. Keesha looked like she might explode. "YOU'LL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE!" She screamed running away. Malcolm and I watched as she ran. We also watched her turn around and come back. She grabbed her boyfriend's hand and smiled at me. "Bye Percy!" She said sweetly. "Bye Percy!" Malcolm reaped red as he was being dragged away.

If Malcolm didn't know where Annabeth was we had a problem. I'm not stupid. Well- yeah but I knew Malcolm knew something about Annabeth's where about's but I knew I'd never get him to fess up and Keesha was an easy little nut to crack but she'd run away every time I got close. I went to Chiron next. "Hi Chiron." "Oh hello Percy. What can I do for you?" "Have you seen Annabeth. I have no clue where she is and I've asked around and nobody's seen her and the people who do know won't tell me." I said. Chiron squinted his eyes and leaned a little to his right. "Oh what's that Connor? You got your head stuck In the toilet seat again? I'll be right there!" Chiron shouted pretending to hear a pleading Conner. "Sorry Percy, it's urgent." He lied.

I just decided to look around for Annabeth by myself. No luck. Call me crazy but I was starting to think Hera had something to do with this. Annabeth was nowhere to be found. I was forced to eat dinner, by myself. I was forced to sit at campfire, by myself. I was forced to sleep, by myself. Annabeth didn't even come to bed. My mind wandered to the worse case scenarios. What if she's dead? What if this is her way of breaking up with me? Just vanishing! What if something took her?

Let's just say I had a very sleepless night that night. I was so used to holding her hand. I was so used to hearing her cute little groans as she changed positions in the middle of the night. I was so used to her strong chin nuzzling me, helping me fall asleep. And what was going to be worse was waking up without her. I loved waking up to those sparkling grey eyes every morning. I'll get up early and look for her.

I heard my cabin door close but decided to ignore it. I had finally fallen asleep. Not even a murderer was going to ruin this for me. I felt soft warm lips press against my cheek. And a soft muffled voice. "Happy birthday seaweed brain." It said. I heard the sound of bare feet walk all the way around my bunk and slide in on the other side of the bed. I smelt a faint scent of lemon and I knew right away that it was Annabeth. Without hesitation I rolled around and basically laid on top of her. I rested my head on her chest and clutched her whole body possessively. I lifted my head and kissed her jawline reviving a giggle from her. Following that came a yawn and without another second to waste she fell right asleep in my arms.

I woke up when it was light outside to an empty bed as if it were all a dream. I heard my cabin door close yet again. Then I smelt it...
"Pancakes!" I looked over to see my girlfriend holding a giant plate of blue pancakes drenched in syrup. Just how I like them. They were still steaming too. "Happy Birthday!" Annabeth said. "How did you get up? I had you tightly in my arms! Gods! You're like a ninja!" I said. Annabeth lightly tapped my nose with her index finger. "That's for me to know and you to sleep on." She said. "So," Annabeth sat down on the bed handing me the pancakes. "How does it feel to officially be an adult?" She asked seeing as I was now 18. "Honestly I feel pretty much the same." I said. Annabeth played with my hair while I ate. "Hey... where were you yesterday! I was so worried about you. I thought something took you!" I said. "I was around. You... probably just missed me." Said Annabeth casually. "Weird." I said shoving my face with a pancake.
