"Okay Alice,don't be a stranger," Charlie says as Alice walks out of our house.
"Your alibi for the battle is all aranged," she says to Bella and me.
"Really?" she asks.
"I told your father that our whole family is going camping this weekend, so you and I are having a sleepover at my house. And Leah came over, and she told him pretty much the same thing, Charlie's going fishing anyway," she says.
"Charlie? You guys are on a first name basis now?" Bella asks.
"Me, he likes. Actually you and Edward will have the house to yourself tonight," she says.
"Like alone?" Bella asks.
"We're all going hunting, powering up for the battle," she says. Bella hasa face on that makes it seem like she hears this every other day. I think it's just revolting "You're welcome. And Shelby, I still think you need a cat."
"I already told you, I'm more of a dog person!" I say as a pair of stong arms wrap around my waist.
"I can see and smell it," she says scrunching up her nose at Embry,
"You are staying the night at my house tonight," Embry says in my ear.
"And why is that?" I ask inocently. Bella went inside.
"Because, Bella is going to Edwards, and I really don't want you in a house full of leeches, especially at night," he says.
"They're all going hunting anyway. Leah already came by already and told Charlie that I was staying the night at her house. He'll expect me to be at the reservation anyway," I say.
"Well that's one less thing that I have to worry about," he says.
"I'm going to grab my stuff," I say. I take his hand in mine, and trudge toward the house.
"What are you two doing?" Charlie asks.
"I'm just grabbing my stuff, Embry stopped by, he's taking me out to the reservation. I'm staying at Leah's don't worry!" I say as I walk up the stairs. I flop down onto my bed, and I bury my face in the pillows.
The whole bed moves downward, and I feel Embry sit ontop of me.
"Embry! Get off! I can't breathe!" I say. He laughs. Hard. He gets up and helps me up. "How come I got the rediculously idiotic boyfriend?" I hear Bella laugh from across the hall.
"Because he's Embry! What did you expect?" she asks when she shows up in her doorframe.
"I expected Embry Call, not whoever the heck he is now! Who are you and what did you do with my boyfriend?" I say.
"Embry Call is right there, he's just a love sick puppy now," Bella says as she points to Embry. He laughs.
"I'll see you tomorrow morning Bells!" I say. I grab my bag and my jacket. I quickly dig a beanie and a pair of gloves out of my closet, and shove it in my bag. Embry kisses me on the cheek, before we head downstairs and out to La Push.
