Delivery

"Thank you," Edward says when we walk in.

"It was nothing," I say.

Rose and Alice help Bella stand up, and she says, "Hey. Are you okay?"

"Yeah, it's not like I'm the one carrying a demon," Jake says.

"This is pretty important Bella, why don't you tell them what you've decided?" Rose says.

"What now?" I ask.

"Rose is trying to talk Bella out of her baby names," Edward explains.

"She hates them," Bella says.

"Well, then I'm on your side no matter what you picked," Jake says.

"They're not that bad," Bella says, "If it's a boy, EJ. Edward Jacob."

"Okay fine. That one's not awful," Rose says, "Why don't you tell him the girl's name?

"I was playing around with our moms' names. Reńee and Esme. And I was thinking, Renesmee," Bella says.

"R-renesmee?" Jake stutters.

"Too weird?" Bella asks.

"Umm," I say.

"No, that's no too weird. It's beautiful. And it's unique, which certainly fits the situation," Edward says, "I like Renesmee."

"He likes it," Bella whispers.

Rose passes her the cup of blood. In attempts to grab it, Bella knocks it out of her hand, and onto the floor. Bella leans forward, and there's a loud cracking sound. Her back is broken. She falls to her knees, and Edward catches her head before it hits the floor.

Edward carries her to the delivery table.

"Rosalie, pass the morphine," Edward says. Rose hands him a syringe full of white looking liquid.

"Carlisle said the placenta must have detached," Alice says, "He's coming as fast as he can, but..." She's on the phone with Carlisle.

"We'll have to do it," Rosalie says as she grabs the scalpel.

Edward grabs her wrist and says, "Rose! Let the morphine spread."

"There's no time. He's dying," she says.

"Get him out, now!" Bella yells.

"Look at me Bella," Jake says right before Rose cuts her open.

When Rose holds up the scalpel, she starts shaking. Edward yells, "Roaslie don't! Alice get her out of here!"

Jake jumps over the table, and tackles her to the ground. I help Alice drag her out of the room.

"I've got her, go," Alice says. She pins down a struggling Rose, and I run back.

"Save her! You've gotta change her!" Jake says.

"I cant, not while he's still in there," Edward says, "I gotta get him out first."

"Stay Bella. Stay focused," I say as calmly as I can.

"Keep your heart beating," Jake says.

"No! He's suffocating!" Bella yells.

Edward bites her twice. Everything calms down, when Edward gets the baby out. It starts crying.

"It's Renesmee," he says.

He holds her in front of Bella, until it bites her, and starts crying again. Bella looks away, but becomes extremely still.

"Bella?" Jake shakes her, "Bella? Bella!" He starts mouth to mouth, and compressions.

"Jacob, take the baby," Edward says.

"Keep that away from me!" Jake says. He keeps doing compressions and mouth to mouth.

"Edward, I'll take her," I say. Edward hands me the baby, and I go to clean her off.

"Can I see her?" Rose asks. I give her a suspecting look. "I promise I'm okay. Let me." I hand over the baby.

I walk back in, and I see Edward injecting Bella with some grayish liquid.

"What is that?" Jake asks.

"It's my venom," Edward says.

"You're okay," Jake whispers. I put a hand on his shoulder.

"It's supposed to be working," Edward says as he starts compressions.

"Oh my god," I whisper. There's tears in mine and Jacobs eyes by now.

"Come on," Edward groans, "Bella come on."

"I won't kill you," Jake says, "That'd be too easy. You deserve to live with this." He shrugs my hand off and walks outside. My eyes follow him, but I quickly look back at Bella one time, before walking outside too.

Jake is sitting on the ground, hugging his knees, and crying. I sit down next to him, and give him a hug, and let the tears flow. Jake gets up and walks back inside. Leah comes and gives me a hug.

"Not only was she my cousin, but she was also my best friend, and now we don't even know if she'll be okay," I say. Seth runs over, and joins the hug too.

I sniffle and say, "I'm okay, she's gunna be okay." I get up, and run behind a tree, and phase. Sam's pack was already here, and trying to attack.

Sam had Edward pinned to the ground. I run over and ram into him, giving him enough time to get up. Leah rams Paul off of Alice. Seth jumps in, and starts fighting Brady and Collin. Embry ran Emmett up a tree, but he kicked him, causing him to fall.

All of the sudden, Jake runs out, and jumps in front of Sam.

"Stop! It's over!" he says, "If you kill her, you kill me!" Sam lunges at him, causing him to fly backward. He phases in the air.

I quickly phase back, and stand by Edward. Jake stalks toward Sam, and stands his ground.

"Jacob imprinted. They can't hurt her," Edward says, reading Jakes mind, "Whoever a wolf imprints on can't be harmed."

"It's our most absolute law," I say slowly.

Sam's pack slowly leaves.

"Embry, wait," I say before he leaves, "Phase back, I'd like it if I could hear you too." He runs behind a tree, and phases. When he comes back into view, I run to him, and jump into his open arms. I wrap my legs around his waist and nestle my head into the crook of his neck.

"I miss you," he mumbles into my hair.

"I miss you too," I say.

"I was going to ask you this in a completely different way, but now is as good of a time as any," he says. I give him a questioning look. "Marry me?"

"What?" I ask. I unwrap my legs, and he let's me down.

"I'm asking you to marry me," he says as he pulls a ring box out of his pocket. I kiss him, and hug him again.

"Do you carry that around with you all the time?" I ask him.

"Just in case, and it came in handy today," he says as he slides a simple, but beautiful ring on my finger.

"Go, Sam's going to kill you!" I say. He gives me a quick kiss. I turn him around, and push him in the direction that Sam left.

"Trying to get rid of me already are we?" he asks.

"Just go, I'd rather marry a living person!" I say.

"I'm going!" he says. He runs off, and phases. I walk back to the house.
