I ran upstairs to my room without looking at anyone. Slamming the door behind me, I jump onto my bed and hid my face in my pillows. I could feel my eyes swelling up with tears as I hear my bedroom door open. I don’t bother taking my face out of my pillows because I know I will look horrible, I always look horrible when I cry. They come over and sit on the end of my bed and lay down next to me. Even though I couldn’t see them I knew they were looking at me. It was Jai. He slid his hand up my arm and onto the back of my head. He gently kissed my hair and whispered, “Angel?” I slowly lifted my head to look into his gorgeous brown eyes. He smiled and whispered, “Hey.” I rolled over onto my back and stared at the ceiling. He laid his head on the pillow next to me and stared up at the ceiling, weaving his fingers in between mine. I lifted my head off my pillow and rested up again his chest, his heart beating in my ear. I smiled as a silent tear slid down my cheek. His chin rested up against my head and we both fell asleep in each other’s arms, not saying a word. The next morning I woke up by the sound of mum crying in her bedroom next door. Jai was still asleep so I slowly got up, placed the blanket over him and tip toed out of my room. It was 7am and Jade and Jake were still fast asleep. I hadn’t seen much of my brother and sister over the last couple of days. I had been out a lot with Jai and I hadn’t spent much time with my family. I walked past Jades room which was opposite mine and entered mums room. I slowly creaked open the door to find mum sitting on her bed holding what looks to be a photograph in one hand, and damp tissues in the other. I quickly ran over to mum and sat down on the bed next to her, wrapping my arms around her. She placed her hand on mine and rested her head on my shoulder. My sleeve was getting wet from mum’s tears, but I didn’t mind. She lifted her head and looked at me. “Im sorry,” she whispered, “I’m sorry.” I looked at her and gave her a confused look before saying, “Why are you sorry? You haven’t done anything wrong?” I released her from my arms and I could tell she was about to say something. I looked down at her hands which were shaking like crazy and saw the photograph she was holding. I froze and stood up from the bed. A tear rolled down my eye as I looked up from the photograph to look at mum. I couldn’t believe it.
