Nicole's POV
My mom just loves inviting problems into my life. I come home from dance practice, exhausted I might add. I just finished showering when Nash comes in with bad news.
Apparently, my mom invited the Hearts and Lancaster for a Halloween dinner along her other close friends. Only my mom would come up with such thing just to make my life more miserable.
It was the last week of October. Quinn has been coming over the house, fucking my brother.
So every time she comes over and sneaks into his room, Nash would come into my room, complaining about the heinous noises coming from the room next to his. Then he would somehow convince me to get out the house with him.
"Come on, let's get out of here," Nash suggested. "I know you are disgusted as I am."
I make a straight line with my lips. Then we both hear some banging on the walls again. Frustrated, I grab my purse and huffed. Nash follows me out.
"Why do you have to be so hard to get? If you want me, all you have to do is ask, sissy," Nash muttered next to me. I stop half way down the stairs.
It has been like this with him for the past weeks. Every time we would go out, he would do or say something really inappropriate as "siblings."
"What the hell is wrong with you?" I snapped at him. "You're my brother and I am your sister for crying out loud." I push him back and he lands on his butt. He looks up to me as he was seated on one of the steps. "If you do not stop with your perverted jokes, I swear I will tell you on dad." I warned him.
"You think I am scared of your dad?" He arches his eyebrows.
"He is your dad too," I said to him.
He stands up and heads down the stairs. "Sure, he is," I hear him mutter, sounding like it had sarcasm in them.
I watch his returning figure as he exits the house. I follow him out and I head to his car. I hopped in and he drives away. I didn't know where we were going this time. I never complained though. I would rather be anywhere else than staying home.
This time, Nash takes me to the hospital. "What are we doing here?" I ask.
Throughout the ride here, he had not said a word to me. Even when I asked him, he still gave no answer.
I massaged my temples then followed him inside the building. We stepped into an elevator just as two nurses stepped out from it. As soon as the elevator door slides close, I feel Nash intertwine his hand with mine. I look at him weirdly.
He never listens.
He pulls me out the elevator once it opens then leads me to a room. Slowly he opens the door and we both enter. On the bed, I see a woman sleeping.
Nash finally lets go of my hand, heads to the table, and throws the dead flowers in the trash bin. He takes a seat on the chair next to the bed and I walk towards him. "Who is she?" I asked.
"Nicole, meet Louisa Lancaster," Nash mumbled. I gasped. I look at the woman with bruises on her face. His mom.
"W-what happened to her?" I ask as I take a seat next to him.
"She has been in a coma for three months now," he muttered. "She was on her way to tell me something. She was driving from New York. Then the cops found her in her car, unconscious with bruises on her face."
"And she hasn't woken up since?" I asked.
"Nope," he whispered.
"Does Nathan know about this?"
