Nicole's POV
It was a good thing there were enough boys that they invited to the party to help Eric and Nathan out of the water. If not, then maybe we'd possibly lose one of them. If I were to choose who should live between Nathan and Eric, I wouldn't know who to choose.
Actually, I won't have it in me to choose between them. Nathan, he's my brother and not only because of that but because he has become one of the people who showed me that there is still hope in this world. He has been a great a brother; he has been an amazing family to me, my only family.
Then, there's Eric. Even if he has lied and hidden his true identity to us, the past weeks he has been showing us how much he values us, how much he loves us. He has been there to make it up to us for the lying and deceiving. All he has ever done was for the good and I couldn't thank him enough for being one of the people by my side.
After the whole truth was revealed to us, from that day forward, we just somehow clicked. I mean, we've bonded and built a firm relationship with each other. In the spun of almost a month, Nathan, Quinn, Eric, Ryan, Nash, and I have been tied to the hip, like we all knew each other since diaper days. We somehow formed a bond that seems impossible to break. If we lose one, I don't think it would ever be the same.
You might be thinking that I'm exaggerating or super-hyping about this. I'm just stating my thoughts and opinions.
It doesn't matter how much you have known a person. It doesn't matter how long you have been good friends.
What matters in the end is that strong relationship made. What matters is the loyalty, is the resiliency. As long as none of us gives up on this whatever plan we made, I think we can get through it. As long as we stay together, we can make it out through all this hardships.
As I speak, Quinn was giving Nathan CPR. This was a serious matter but I saw that Nathan was conscious whilst Quinn did CPR on him. The moment I see that small smirk on his face, I knew he was faking it now.
As for Eric, he was perfectly fine. While everyone was watching Quinn, I went over to Eric's side, sitting on the ground. "Hey, are you sure you're okay?" I asked him, not wanting other's attention.
Eric nods then smiles, "Yes, Nikki, I am okay. See? I'm still breathing."
I was about to say something again but he speaks over me. "Trust me, I'm okay. We were trained to breathe underwater for as long as we can. I think I was only under the water for about half a minute or so. That's nothing compared to what the academy made us do," he informs me.
"But I saw you were the first that sunk in the water. That has got to be more than a minute, especially since everyone else was panicking and taking their time on saving you guys," I tell him.
"I'm okay, Nicole. I'm conscious. I'm alive. And I'm soaking wet so, do you mind getting me a towel or something. I'm freezing," he tells me, still smiling at me. I rolled my eyes at him then I rushed back to the cabin and a grabbed a towel from the closet.
