The receptionist welcomed us with a smile plastered on her face.

"Good day sir, good day ma. How may we attend to you."

"Good day, please can we see your set of diamond jewelries." Mercy asked after she responded to her greetings.

"Mercy!" she called.

At first I was a little confused until a young fair lady walked towards our direction.

"This is Mercy." the receptionist said.

"Wow, she's my namesake" Mercy added.

I just stood there watching their conversation. I'm not really good in buying gifts especially things concerning women, so I'll let Mercy do the talking.

"Oh, nice to meet you." the other Mercy said as she stretched forth her hand to shake hands with Mercy my secretary.

"Okay Mercy" the receptionist said. "They need to get a diamond jewelry set, please take them to that section and make sure you attend to them very well considering the fact that our client here is your namesake"

"Follow me" the other Mercy said smiling at us.

After a while looking at the different types of diamond jewelries they had, Mercy and I settled on two final ones.

Although they were looking simple and plain, Mercy insisted that she was sure that those were the kind of jewelries that Juliet likes. After much said and done and asking Mercy repeatedly if she was sure that Juliet would love them, I finally paid and even bought a pair of earrings for Mercy as appreciation for being a good and efficient secretary and even going as far as helping me in my personal endeavor. She rejected it at first but after much persuasion she collected it.

After coming out of the jewelry shop, I wanted us to head back to the office but Mercy insisted I go on my own because she wanted lunch.

"Ehm sir, thanks for the gifts, I really appreciate it."

"Can you stop telling me thanks already. You're worth it you know. Now let's go"

"Sir just go ahead, I need to get lunch"

"Then let's go, I brought you here and I can't leave you. We're going back to the office together. So let's go and get the food."

"You're indeed an elder brother. Thanks."

"Here have this. Juliet is very inquisitive I don't want her to see this before our anniversary. So you'll help me keep it until the anniversary day." I told her. I know how Juliet can be sometimes, she can scatter and rearrange the entire house three times in a week all in the name of making sure everything is in order. I don't want her stumbling on this.

"Okay sir." she said as she collected it from me.

"Now let's go."

We walked down to the car, I opened the door for her and she entered then we drove off. On our way to the eatery, I got a call from Juliet but because I was driving I couldn't answer it but decided to call her back after I had stopped the car.

"Hello" I said the moment she picked the call.

"Hello good afternoon."

"Afternoon dear, how are you doing?? Hope everything is fine?" I asked because Juliet almost never calls me in the afternoon like this unless something comes up.
