"Sir you sent for me" my secretary Mercy said the moment she entered my office.
She has been my secretary for more than three years now, I take her as a younger sister. I met her newly when she lost her father, being the first child of the house, she had so many responsibilities and she needed money so God used me to lift some of her burden.
"yes, sit down" I told her using hand gestures to offer her a sit.
She sat comfortably.
"take these files." handing over a bunch of files her "sort them out for me, you know what to do."
"okay sir."
"And make photocopies."
"yes sir."
"you can go now" I dismissed her.
"okay sir."
"and Mercy!" she turned "make me a cup of coffee"
"Yes sir"
Just after she left, I received a message on my phone.

Inform you that the mid term break
Starts from tomorrow 18th of August to
21st of August.

An idea immediately strike my mind.
A weekend away from the kids. Juliet will have no excuse but to spend time with me.
Even if it makes me close early from work tomorrow I will. I love my wife so much and I'm willing to do everything just to revive our love.
The kids will spend the weekend at her sister's place Juliana. Juliana loves them a lot, she is like a second mother to them.
I dialed her number immediately.
She picked up as soon as the phone rang.
"Hello uncle Damien, good afternoon."
"Julie baby, what's up?"
"I'm fine o.. I'm just here where you guys left me, no body checks on me anymore. You even deprive me from seeing my children."
I let out a chuckle. "it's not like that o. Well, I called because I wanted the children to spend the weekend with you."
"really?" I could sense Enthusiasm in her voice.
"yes, they will be on midterm break as from tomorrow, so I'll drop them at your place tomorrow morning and pick them up on Monday evening."
"okay. But you have told sister Juliet abi?"
"they are my kids too, not just hers. I'm sure she'll agree."
"okay. Looking forward to their visit. Bye."
"bye" I hung up.

At first, Juliet was so happy that she would be free for the weekend, no stress, no shouting and all that.
Then later, she started complaining that she was bored that she couldn't wait for the children to come back, she sounded as if my presence is was not enough for her.
I can't help it!
Nonetheless, the weekend was fun without the kids to me.
Don't get me wrong, I love my kids..
We got to talk and catch up on the things we've been missing. I even prepared her dinner like I did before we got married, I was glad that I haven't lost my touch on food. She enjoyed it and I was happy. I got to understand that she still cares, she is still the woman I married but she is finding a hard time trying to balance me and the kids. The problem is that she doesn't want me to hire a babysitter to assist her, she wants to do it all by her self.
"Thanks for dinner baby." Juliet said.
She called me baby!
"you're welcome love."
I can't spoil the mood!
"Let's watch a movie together" I told her.
"wow.. I miss those days!"

I made sure it was a romantic movie.
After the movie, she became so clingy, she leaned close to me then put her head on my chest, using her fingers to draw circles on my skin.
This was the moment!
I used my hand to lift her face so close to mine. I looked straight into her eyes and kissed her.
It was like I ignite a passion inside of her. At first I was slow and gentle, then I became rugged and rough. My breath became uneven and I could feel that I was aroused.
I broke the kiss and carried her to the bedroom. I laid her on the bed then started kissing her again. She buried her hands in my hair letting out soft moans, then I started massaging her breast with my hand.
I kissed her from her lips down to her chest, then to her belly button. The moment I slid my hands into her panty, she stopped me.
"stop!"
"What?" I asked her softly. I didn't want to be too aggressive to kill the mood. At this point, I would do anything to make her want me again.
"I'm on my period, this isn't right."
My God!
She stood up and said;
"I'm going to take my bath, care to join me?"
She hadn't asked me that question for ages, today she asked, I lost the mood.
"No. Go ahead. I'll take my bath after you."
"okay" she left for the bathroom.
I made sure that she all turned on the shower then I went down to do push ups. I had to kill the mood I was in at all costs.

The next day which was Monday, I went to work and on my way back, I picked up the kids, they were so happy to See Me.
Getting home, everything went back to normal. She continued eating with the kids, spend time with them until late night. Sometimes I even fell asleep before she entered the room.
Even if she spend a little quality time with me in a day, even if it's just thirty minutes, I wouldn't feel so neglected. Her period had stopped already but she never initiated sex, probably waiting for me to make a move so that she would give me the history of how my dinner was prepared again.
Never!
