Tyler's POV

I lay on the soft floor, curled up in a warm ball. My eyes start to flutter open as I hear the bed frame creak softly. I adjust my body so that I'm sitting up straight.

"You okay?" I say quietly, since Jenna is still asleep. "I don't want to sleep."

"Why?" Y/N pulls her knees to her chest. Her glossy eyes start to well up, a few tears slip down her face. I get up off the floor and hop on the bed. She puts her head in my lap and I stroke her hair softly.

"W-why is J-Josh never here anymore?" I let out a brief sigh and clean her face with the pad of my thumb. "He's co-"

"Tyler why did I have to meet him?" My heart shattered. If only she knew what Josh was up to.

"He's coming back, I promise." I kiss the girl's forehead and lay her down on the bed.

After she fell asleep, the front door opens. Perfect timing. I run out of the room to see Josh sitting on the couch. I sit next to him and put my hand on his knee.

"How was work?" I say with a sad smile. "Terrible, I'm just glad I have enough money now." I nod and start walking to the kitchen.

"Headache, eyes or body?" Josh ruffles his hair and lets out a chuckle. "All three." I frown and grab a tub of medicine.

I set the tub down and had him a glass of water with two pills. He gladly takes them and pops the pills in his mouth.

"Lay down." Josh does what I told him and opens her eyes so I can put the eye drops in. He whines in pain, but I assure him it's for the best.

I grab the shorter boy's hand and walk him to his room. "Sleep well." I say before closing the door and walking back into Y/N's room.

"Where did you go, Ty Ty?" Jenna says raising an eyebrow while cuddling with Y/N. "Uhm, I got hungry." I show them a toothy smile. "Right."

"Tyler, can I have more Advil? My headache is getting worse." Y/N's face turns into a frown, pushing Jenna away from her.

"J-Josh, I told you to try to sleep!" I say frantically. "Where were you?" Her voice starts to crack. "A-at Brendon's house!" Y/N's face boils up with anger. "Helping someone doesn't take you till three in the morning, Joshua!" She runs into her bathroom and locks the door.

"Let me explain!" Josh's breathing starts to speed up. "Leave me alone." A small sniffle was heard behind the door.

"Y/N?" The muffled cries stop. "Jenna, please let me be." I look at Josh and Jenna with a shocked expression. "I don't want to see you either, Tyler."

Before I could protest, Jenna grabs my wrist and Josh's forearm.

"I really hope you have enough money because I don't think Y/N can take it anymore." Jenna whisper yells. "You think." I snicker back.

"I have enough money, but it's useless now."

"Just make things right with her." Josh nods and looks down at his bare feet.

"We should be heading home." I nod my head in agreement. "W-what about Y/N?" I let out a long sigh before answering Josh. "You need to make amends with her."
